Lauki Masala Subji

  • This Delicious Lauki Subji is quick to make and is full of flavour and is a dish for vegetarians
    Ingredients
    800 grms Lauki Marinate with 1/2 tsp Turmeric, 1 Tsp Kashmiri Mirch,
    1 Tsp Kasturi Mathi, 1/2 Tsp salt
    5 Tbls Oil
    3 Tbls Roasted Gram Flour
    1 Bay Leaf
    1 Cinnamon Stick
    2 Black Cardamon
    1/4 tsp Asafoetida
    1 tsp Cumin Seed
    2 Green Chillies
    1" grated ginger
    2 Tomatoes into Pulp
    5 tbs Yogurt
    1& half tsp coriander
    1/2 tsp Cumin Powder
    1 tsp Kashmiri powder
    1/2 tsp Chilli powder
    1/4 tsp Turmeric
    1/2 tsp Garam Masala
    Green Coriander
    Salt to Taste

    This is the first time I heard of this vegetable. Looks good and I am sure it tastes good too. I wonder if I could try this with Cucumber. This curry can be used to eat Naan, Rice Parata etc.?

      Not cucumber you can other squash or zucchini same way.

      I haven’t tried it with cucumber, but it comes out nice with pumpkin as well (Kaddu)and you are right it can be eaten with rice or roti or naan 😁❤️👌🏻🙏🏽

    Ma'am what is this word "curry"..!? Growing up.. At home in restaurants hotels dhabas etc never heard anything like curry.. Always had sabji.. or masala.. or whatever the name of the dish.. just want to know what is curry that they add nowadays for every dish with gravy..!!? 😂

      Yes, you are right that’s a tricky question 😂, I suppose anything that has gravy and is spicy turns out be known as a curry 😁🙏🏽

      Why there's even a Japanese dish called curry that has nothing in common with Indian, Pakistani, Sri Lankan or Bangladeshi curries.@pearlskitchen9999

      Curry means a liquid that's spicy and hot.

      @@systemic384 whatever it maybe its not Indian.. As I said growing up we never heard of such thing even if you go to any top notch restaurant or dhabba you will see Bihari Chicken.. Mutton Handi.. Chicken 65.. Tinde ke sabji.. Palak Paneer etc.. you will never see palak paneer curry.. Mutton handi curry..!!
