Gun and Charles weren't going all out. Since it was Charles's plan to use the shaman. Seongji and jichang are pretty relative in my eyes and the kojima brothers were already exhausted and beat up before. Hence.

I feel like James is trying to be Charles choi. Both of them have invisible attacks,they have similar fighting styles,have similar poses(could be ptj reusing panels). Afterall James did say he was raised under Charles choi. In simple words. James might be obsessed.
I don't know how good this theory is. It seems possible with all the info we have and I don't think there's anything that really contradicts it. It's atleast better then him being Charles choi(we saw them in the same room already give up people).

I don't think that either Charles of James have UI, but he can just be more trained with his SB and learn different methods of switching or staying semi-conscious while switching. I just can't forget all the panels where either Charles's or DG's eyes were conveniently covered by shadows or by the hair. It's suspicious at the very least...

Maybe I am biased here but I think the Gen 1 are messing with wrong person here, He can tear them apart, I dont think he was going all out against Seongji after unlocking 3rd threshold, as he said he wasn't there to kill Seongji but Shaman he was just testing Koc, so
It's just my opinion:-
1- Either Seongji would ask gen 1 kings to let James go.
2- James will show why is he called peak.
To be more brief, Ptj wanted to highlight the plot with Seongji and Vinjin as a centre through which ge also introduced Gen 1 kings and taking all thus scenario with debut kf james in Generation 1, Ptj foreshadowed James at some limit so that the characters of Gen 1 dont seem waste but it is also Important for plot to justify james role as why he is called Generation 1 'One man Circle'.

Crazy how first gen kings would have been a force to reckoned with if they were not nerfed in current story line and how gun was weaker then them but now he is stronger then them.

I feel like there are a lot of unanswered questions. If James was there to kill the Shaman, why did he fight Seongji? If Kojima Brothers are this weak, why did Charles Choi and Gun struggle against them? Were they holding back? But why?
He thought seongji to see how strong he was and to test himself aswell. Also I think the fight stopped before gun and Charles fought the brothers.

@@customname4680 Well Jichang did get weaker because he lost his spirit to fight after losing to Jake's bro, and then probably lost it even more after losing to James Lee. And either Jichang got WAY weaker, or Charles Choi is an absolute monster who could've folded current Gun in his prime, or the power scaling is just inconsistent. Imo Jichang got way weaker. The other main kings we didn't really see them fight the main cast except for Seokdu and Taesoo, Seokdu lost, in a 3 v 1 which was extreme diff, and the main cast could barely do anything to Taesoo in a 3 v 1 (Zach, Vasco and Daniel).
I'm still pretty sure the main cast is below the major kings like Taesoo, remember that James Lee absolutely neg diffed Zack and Vasco without breaking a sweat, he also totally folded Taesoo too but against Taesoo he did look legitimently worried and put in visibly more effort than Zack and Vasco.
The main cast isn't far off from King Level but I still think the high tier Kings are above them atm.
