Corroded bones especially in the wrists, well ankles shoulders etc due to RA... After 5 years I finally did 8 pushups, real ones then came upon your videos. I lost all strength but my will is the onely thing that has sustained me, so any suggestions I'd truely appreciate.
Try losing weight and managing your diet if you haven’t already as RA symptoms can be exacerbated by certain foods. Eat a diet rich with anti inflammatory foods, like antioxidants, omega3fatty acids etc and note your flare ups. I’d suggest doing exercises like push-ups with resistance bands and if the normal variation is too hard try regressing to knee push-ups or even wall push-ups. You’re probably already going on swims but if not try to go swim more often, it’s a great workout and especially great for people with RA since it’s easy on the joints. Do a lot of mobility work and I mean a lot, static and active stretches to improve your mobility and perhaps you can try to wear braces which can help brace your joints for certain bodyweight movements? Though, sometimes braces can worsen your symptoms if you do certain exercises with them, so I don’t really know Most importantly, don’t give up. Its crazy how big of a difference you can make with just will power and hope alone on your body, the placebo effect is very real. Keep on fighting, best of luck to you on your fitness journey
Hey g, not sure how old you are. Im 26 with RA and building muscle/strength as well as dietary changes, biggest being diving into a more carnivore diet has really helped managed my symptoms. Used to be on those shitty meds like methotrexate but have been off them and maintaining a healthy amount of weight training, swimming and diet. I've been wanting to start stretches to increase joint mobility since some joints like my elbows are limited in mobility from the RA.
"Ah, swings! You mean because it trains your core and your grip strength?" "No, I'm just trying to get back that childlike joy. Dad... why did you leave us!"

You'd have to be anti science to think that water is going to change its properties once it goes out of your range of sight. That's called religion sir.
Few bars are tall enough to allow me to swing like this, and actually no bars in my gym are tall enough to let me do this. I am only 6’2”. Most equipment is setup for people who are 5’10” or shorter.
shoulder twists are greats, part of my routine for the last 3-4 years after major shoulder injury and with others strength and mobility work I didn't had any issue since then.
i added a few sets of these pocket slaps after a workout the other day and they lit up my core/obliques. definitely recommend adding these to your workout. and they were fun.

I figured the problem starts at puberty, you grow up and without exercising you are stuck with child strength and adult weight.
