I lived with my mother and stepfather for a year in Fort Myers when I was 5 years old, kindergarten time. Remember the canal and palm trees in our yard and the beautiful seashells at nearby Sannabel Island beach. So it is heartbreaking to hear about the hurricane's strong impact on this area!

I live in port Charlotte Florida all my life, two eyes, two eyes first Charley and then Ian at least the eye is calm it gives you a short brake to get to a safe place.

Ian was my first name storm that i tracked
2 years ago hurricane laura hit Calcasieu Parish and surrounding areas. They said it was a cat 4, but it was a cat 5 at 155 mph and higher. It looked like bombs exploded all over the place. So it hasn’t been decades since a hurricane hit the gulf coast.

My aunt left and went 2 hrs across flordia to st lucie just to stay safe they live in punda gorda. I pray that there house is okay. And all there older neighbors that stayed because this hurts. The canal is in there back yard. It hurts because I know that there home is most likely gone. No matter how much and how hard anyone protects there house this storm is tooo much. It’s so damn sad 😭😭😭

Plot the purple streetlights again and see which ones need to be replaced again if wind can chip the phosphor coating off. Do new ones appear? Are purple ones near critical traffic points for evacuation replaced with purple again? How readily can other purple streetlights be replaced?

@@sarahp.3772 Normally they are just outside of a hotel or a parking garage. they film their segment then go back inside. Some not all are doctored by standing in areas between two buildings creating a venture effect to make things look worse. Not that, that was needed during this storm.
