It's easy. There's a tool that measures how much salt is in the water called a refractometer. Blue crabs like salinity levels ranging from 1.010 through 1.025. So brackish or full saltwater. I learned from watching youtube videos.
Crab. Crab and clam, clam go in crab mouth. Mouth crab enter clam. Clam is now in mouth of crab. Crab take clam red meat in mouth. Clam. Crab eat clam.
The title says "crab eats big clam LIVE" because it was recorded live to an audience in real time not because the clam was alive. I think that can be a bit confusing for some 😅
That isn't a clam, it is a scallop, big difference. Scallops are easy to open, a hard shell clam like even a small quohog [little neck] are a whole different story. I dought very seriously if a blue crab like this one can open a hard clam.
I'm sorry to tell you but you don't know what you're talking about. That is NOT a scallop. And it IS a clam.. And I know because I grew up on the coast!

Clam was not alive. Frozen. Bought from thr grocery store.
