I arrived from school late once and told my mother I had detention. Being the first child out 5 to have detention she didn't know what it was and after finding out, she wrote a 1 page letter to the school about how stupid it was to hold a 14 year old child after school, missing the buss and forced to walk home in a dangerous neighborhood alone.
I never had detention again. I had lunch detention instead but for me.... it was just, lunch.
She did get a point, though

giving a kid afterschool detention shouldnt be ok unless you know how the kid gets home from school if they cant get their usual way home how it would be

Ironically this is one of her best behaved episodes. All she does is refuse to eat something without tasting it which I think every kid has done before.

in high school, i got a saturday school for being late to class too many times and had to come to school for 4 hours on a saturday. after finding out it would be held in a classroom i've never been to before, i got there with 2 mins to spare and knocked on the door. no response. kept knocking. no response. its then 8:04 and the teacher opens the door, tells me im late, and i have to come back next saturday.

I had a teacher like that, I walked in the room just as the bell rang and she said I was like and had to stay another 15 mins, I walked out after 15 mins not giving a fuck and Dad defended me cuz in real life, a job will never have you stay over your scheduled time, i work on a assembly line as long as I’m there to do my job I’m good, I walked on the line at 6am EXACLY and had a min to spare

I was given a week of detention because I was told to step to the side to fix my tie, I asked can’t I just walk and fix my tie but she said “no step to the side”. As soon as I fixed it that woman had the audacity to look me in the eye and say “you’re late, detention for a week” I called her a bitch in front of everyone. And the principal was there too. I transferred out later on
this straight up happened to me in middle school. my math teacher saw me running to make it inside the class before the bell rang and as the bell rang he was standing outside while i was 10ish steps away

Yea sorry but I think Rochelle did the right thing by making Tanya eat the sausage. First of all that little shit is always getting into trouble and managing to blame it on Chris or Drew each time. Second of all assuming one day she ended up in jail for getting into trouble one too many times, she would not do well considering she would try complaining about the food. And then that would be quite funny considering that would be the last thing to worry about in a place like that.
