As a band we have always been curious about Nepali folk songs influenced by the lahureys. These songs are a mash up of old lahurey songs, some dating back to the first and second World War along with some popular folk songs. A lot of songs were collected by Nayan Prakash Subba who passed on these songs to his daughter Abhaya. Hope you enjoy this peppy mash up!
We will be releasing Grooving with the Steam Engines every Saturday of August. We are collaborating with Rohit John Chettri, Megha Shrestha and Shreya Rai, Sanup Paudel, Faith Om, Dharmendra Sewan and Swapnil Sharma.
August 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th - September 4th and 11th.
