I finally remembered what I forgot to include in the video: To make your weapon inventory look like this you have to press L3 when highlighted on a weapon and choose sort by order of acquisition. Then you can grab the serpent hunter out of your chest and four weapons and then the flail. That's how you get it to look like this
I was on the brink and just shy of pulling it off until steels video that showed sh in top left slot with flail under it. Then it was a matter of fine tuning the timing. I had several great months of glorious chainsawing glitches when needed on med load. Nothing better than seeing someone use holyground glitch then showing them your better glitch. Then it was patched and I'm sad 😢
I have not updated yet so I tried it out. After many attempts I got stuck keeping the moter on until I replayed the part where you exit the menu using start and finally got the hang of it. It felt just as good like when you finally killed that boss after many attepts. Ty!
Using dpad instead of holding l2 is way more consistent for me. Also depending on if your using light load or medium load the timing is different. the timing is also slightly different with different ashes of war, I've found that wildstikes with light load is the most consistent way to chainsaw but medium load flail also gets very consistent with enough practice. The downside with light load is that to be able to chainsaw you have to armour swap which can take extra time if you need to chainsaw quickly.
After 500 times, I never let it out once. That’s before letting go, l1 l2 and pressing start. Always hold shunter standing still, no ash animation no sound. Maybe it is a dualsense controller only thing?
@@celinecucinelli8208 holding shunter standing still usually means you pressed l2 too soon after backstep, so the Ash of war input gets eaten and doesn't count. switch to light load and aim for spinning the chain every time after backstep (while holding the appropriate buttons) once you get that down try to incorporate start aaa afterwards. It will not work unless you are doing it with the timing of spinning chain coming out.
@@Rain1 true but i already saw someone do a similar glitch using Radhan dual swords i guess it's one of those glitches that always come back just in a different way

Lol I'm not worried about it. I'm not a regular content creator so it doesn't really matter to me. Every once in a while I think of a video and want to post and I'll do something like this or just a short clip of something else. Too much work and too much luck to become a big time concentrator especially in a game with PVP that's not very popular amongst the masses
@@flytothetop3339 it's straight up the exact same thing. The buttons are in the exact same location on both controllers except for whatever opens up your inventory menu I think.
@@brapyuchiha3328 yeah it gives you a good bit more time. Though *usually* you wouldn't run light load in an invasion unless you're doing some sort of caster glass cannon build I guess

For those that don't know you either use a menu inventory swap tool or change the sorted chest by Acquisition which makes it so it puts newest item that was in ur inventory at the top and the oldest next in line.
@@Aeostorm not sure actually, I play on PC so I just used steam. You wouldn't normally use start on r1, I only did it because I was struggling so much learning how to do this. If I knew the things that I told you from this video back when I started to learn how to do this, I wouldn't have needed to remap at all. It would have been so easy I would have done it in 15 minutes.
@@Rain1 Ahh ok, sounds good. I've kinda got the timing down but sometimes I just get tired or bad framerates or something idk and i can't get it as often anymore. Figured this might make it more consistent. Thanks :)
@@Aeostorm yeah hopefully if you aren't getting frame drops (which probably can't always be prevented based on what area you're in), based off of my video, you'll know exactly what you did wrong in the process. Looking straight down at the ground should help keep the frame rate high though. Good luck to you!
A guy was being annoying in arena and spamming golden crux. So i whipped out backhand blades to show him what spam and cheese tastes like. Then he pulled this out on me…. So now I’m here. Just encase I need the nuclear option one day.
@@LiliumCruorem yeah he shouldn't have done that. It's really messed up to use it against people that aren't cheating. But it makes sense to me if they pull it out, then hey broke the gentleman's agreement and you get to do the same thing right back to them
@@Rain1 That’s typically how I operate, if you hit me during a bow, spam the same cheesy ash or spell over and over, I just switch to something more annoying and punish. Never came across a chainsaw user before though. So it is nice to know that most people aren’t gonna whip it out for no reason all the time.
@@LiliumCruorem yeah it's pretty difficult to do although I'm sure a lot of people have macros set up. It was the same way back in dark souls 3 I remember watching people, if they estus refill then we do too ,otherwise it's gentleman's agreement not to.

Why does it automatically hover my flail when I go to swap? Serpent is in first slot, but automatically goes to my second slot which is flail
In the title i mention that they patched it, you can no longer do chainsaw with this method, and i actually dont know how to do any other methods lol
