The 1.11 had an official release in the US so it's only a matter of time for the second movie, which was actually shown on March 20 in Ireland, but I wasn't able to get a ticket. That said I didn't try very hard either.
You can find the the first of the new movies online RAW. I found it on Veoh, but I haven't seen that new EVA, but from the poster you can tell theres a new character.
the assemble borg things were thought up by yasuhiro nightow (trigun/ gungrave) and distributed by revoltech. the idea is that you use parts of them to create other robots of your liking. as for the revochip, i have no idea.

If you're looking for UNIT 5 HLJ has it now for pre-order in Anime colors. Unless you pre-order Revoltechs they tent get very expensive to pick up later :(
the colors as well as some of the proportions have changed. I think it is pretty cool and really only worth buying if you want either a complete collection of revoltech evas or if you dont have either version of this guy.
While I don't have the newer Unit 05, it's my understanding only the colours have changed to be like it was in the movie. The first release had the prototype/preliminary colour scheme.

As for the "revochip", you save them and mail them in to get stuff. 30 points= pliers to help remove broken/stubborn joints or a box to hold extra joints (probably what the box you got was for) 50= mini assemble borg figure in black, transparrent grey, or transparrent white. 100= new release revoltech figure or golden full-size assemble borg figure. I believe, though, that this promo is only good in japan. If you know japanese, the official revoltech website would have more details

im thinking that assemble borg creature thing is some sort of universal figure that you can swap other revoltech figures' weapons and kinds to it so you can customize your own figure i guess? but this thing is rather interesting...is the "new" design really that much of a difference though
Speaking of Armored Core I've seen a couple of the stuff coming up in December and am really liking it. Might even see some in the future on the channel.
Maybe they will make a figure of Rokugoki (Or Eva Mark 06) when 3.0 is released... It's very cool, it has visor-like eyes, but otherwise looks like a thiner version of shogoki, just that it's black and blue with the same yellow/orange hightlights as unit 05.
This is a very interesting design for an Eva Unit! The hands are a little..prosthetic looking. I feel like it should have a hook hand too so it could be a pirateEva. Have you seen the new movie yet? GundamGuns the arms and legs aren't part of the actual evangelion unit, they are robotic parts that were attached to the torso of the failed eva's body

Unfortunately I missed a lot of the Binaltech's first time round and now most of the good ones are going for crazy money. I really like the Alternity line, a bit pricey for the size, but got to have them! It's a weakness.

its stupid how there releasing a new movie accurate paintjob version of this one (revoltech 73 i think ) with a red lance and other minor paint differences ... well i already bought this one online and am awaiting it .... (your review is what made me say "fuck it im getting them all") i even tracked down the 7/11 exclusive unit 00 , finding eva 3 isnt too hard ,its just double the price of these though .... $258 for 5 revoltechs ...sick
they've already created a proto type for a new version of this guy and a really cool version of unit 01. just put "eva 01 (or 05) wonder festival" into google images.

revoltech evangelions (from the anime and from the 97 movie )are still available on amazon and ebay, and for cheaper then what they want for all these new movie ones , i bought 7 evangelion revoltech last year , there all still available now for the same price i bought them for (22 to 30 dollars , why are they so expensive RIGHTOUT of the gate now , and why does it seem like i will lose my chance forever if i dont buy them now , there making them hared to find and more expensive.. its sick

strange i never get the assemble borgs at all! I recently bought like 3 -4 boxes of the new revoltech in the new "big box" but nothing. :(
