Writing the Story of Your Life To Come | Patrick Dodson | TEDxQueenstown

Patrick’s talk calls us to imagine writing a narrative of our own future, where we envisage our best selves in a context that most suits us. He encourages us to give ourselves a rich story to lean our lives into, full of serendipity and passages that we can intentionally mould into an applied autobiography. He shares how knowing the details of his identity has allowed him to combine this with classic storytelling techniques in the writing and fulfillment of his future so far.
Patrick Dodson is a self-taught chef, photographer, writer, designer and Airbnb entrepreneur. His diverse journey in all these fields has come about by paying close attention to his innate traits and writing a narrative of his own future which he has leaned into, with wonderful and challenging results.
