Another tip to get a better constrictor knot and a longer lasting rubber: 1. Once you have your loose constrictor knot, fasten one end of the line to a fixed point on your work bench. 2. Place the other end of the line around a screw driver or your insertion tool. 3. Lubricate the rubber and line so that it can slip around the rubber. 4. Pull the constrictor line tight and using your free hand, spin the rubber back in forth whilst gently pulling the line tighter. This will give you a tighter constrictor and it wont tear the rubber.
Great video thankyou, I have recently bought a spear gun, both bands snapped when I took it out, I was gonna but new bands this way looks more easier and cheaper to buy and make your self than buying bands already made, I’m new to spear fishing and I’m glad I found this video, thanks again
It's actually a "constrictor knot" if you notice how the working end is run under the other side of the knot as opposed to the side a clove hitch would be.
And don't forget if you gonna use a double band muzzle, the first one you can use a bench the second one you gonna need to put one end inside the muzzle first.
Get your mind out of the gutter dude... and just make sure you choose the correct size rubber and use plenty of lube for easier insertion and to avoid a torn rubber. Also remember to go slow and have a good mushroom head and it'll last a long time

There is a close up at the end that show exactly how to tie the knot.
Hi There!
Are u using a waxed cord right?!?
Is it 2 mm?
Tks
Very good!
How do u attach the euro style bridle where the end bit that goes inside the rubber is much bigger?
Tqvm
is that spectra line your using to tie the band?
where or how do i get or make the bridals?
I like that it's good simple 😜 how much your speargun
thank you !!
can you just use dyneema for the constrictor knot?
Anything around 2mm or smaller would be fine.
Builders string is what I use. It’s cheap and you get a lot on a roll
And don't forget if you gonna use a double band muzzle, the first one you can use a bench the second one you gonna need to put one end inside the muzzle first.
Squalo I had to cut a little bit at the end to get mINE on Hopefully I haven't wrecked it had just enough to do another one for the second one
What could I use instead of the proper tieing string.
i always use paracors 550, works like a charm!

Overpriced hard to find
Just think how pissed off people would be if having a speargun is a crime in a COUNTRY by the law!! -.-
most of those countries are fine with a Hawaiian sling
Can you give me a Speargun please ❣️

Was not a video about "how to make" but "how to assemble"
terrrible video, the hand covers the most critcal part of tying the knot
