While living on the streets of London in winter, 1987/88, past thru the kings x fire 5 mins before it happened 7:25 ish , I was riding the rails of the underground trying to keep warm, was also in Storm of the century 87, walked thru London the mall Oxford street , Alarms going off , shop Windows blown in Trees blown down blocking road down the Mall.

Does the Tower decorate for Christmas?
Sadly not! Some years they have an ice rink in the moat and they project lights/designs onto the curtain wall but they haven't done it in a few years :(
I loved it! It was magic, I had opening night tickets. BUT the experience was slightly spoiled by 'seasoned' Kew Gardens visitors around me who talked about mundane things throughout my visit. Why can't people just keep their voices down?
