  • I played for 45 minutes without stopping and discovered deep music. A beautiful wordless message that will change everything if you let it. The name of this piece is "Sleep, Sleep, Beauty Bright" - a line from William Blake.

Bill, I can't help but be inspired by someone who is so into their 'thing'. Listening to this piece did not change my life, but it gave me 40 minutes of relaxing background music while I was unwinding, and sometimes that is gift enough.

So often I come to RUclips to compare pedals. I listen to clip of pedal A, listen to clip of pedal B, and I compare them, and *try* to find out which one is better than the other. It's nice to stop comparing gadgets and give my whole attention to one sound. Comparison divides the soul. Wholeness heals it. Thanks, Bill.

When you know something about music you can easily recognize when somebody just plays and when somebody puts his feeling and heart into the sound. I think I do not have to tell which way you are walking.

I love seeing that someone can make a piece of music and find such beauty and bliss in something of their own creation. I would not call it ego at all, I call it a sense of enlightenment. It can come from anything, whether you're making ambient or noise and everything in between. You don't even need to release it to the world, as I feel Bill did because he wants others to feel what he felt. It may not work for everyone but it can, and one thing is for sure, it did for him. That is not diminished, and is a wonderful and beautiful thing that has bestowed upon this world.
It does not matter what age we are in, and it doesn't even have to last forever, and it is not the same feeling for everyone, but knowing that we can find beautiful moments and times in our lives like Bill has makes things all worth while. Knowing it can happen, also shows that it can happen again, but do not seek it out. Enjoy what you have now, and these moments will come in time. They just happen. And I know one day it will happen to you even if it already happened to you.
I don't know I felt inspired to say this. This is wonderful and amazing. Thank you Bill for what you have shown and for sharing your experience with us all. My regards to everyone.

Serenity embodied in a piece of music. I'd got out of ambient and into funk. I had to drift back here for a moment of sanity. The woes and fragility of human life have washed over me these last 6 months.
I firmly believe that we are better and can be better if we choose the correct way to live, not apart but with consideration for each other, the planet and the creator.
    Thanks Bill.

A number of years ago, I watched your channel when I began my own search for a different kind of music. I learned some valuable techniques, but eventually found we differed too much in direction, but paid attention to your work nonetheless.
I must say this video surprised me in a very good way. Not even so much for the music, which is beautiful in itself, but for the idea. I find myself standing beside you in total agreement. Our paths might differ, but transcendant beauty and the peace it brings is the goal.

This song was 40min that I would never regret spending. I can listen to this whole thing again & be content. There are so many feelings, moods, & emotions that this song not only captures, but fits into as well. This is a true masterpiece of ambient perfection, & a beautiful sound that profoundly resonates deep within the soul. Thank you for uploading this video.

This made me reflect, cry... breathe, cry again and meditate. Life's been difficult since my dawn of time in this space with disharmonious people in my wide surroundings on top of my social anxieties. I know that it has been the way I have been perceiving society and focusing on that issue waaaayy too much than I need to care for. But this... I can pause life for, I'm glad I heard this. Thank you so much, I've been needing this 40 minute break to disconnect from life and to just.... be present. Let's continue to press on this journey. God bless.

I also come from a heavy metal or prog-metal background, but love to just let the ambient music out every so often. Run a clean guitar thru endless reverbs and delays, and just listen to it as it unfolds. Just enjoy the sound itself. No melodies, but just notes coming out of nowhere.
