Hey guys! Back with another Barchie edit.
After their scenes together in 3x05 I just knew I had to make an edit. I'm really proud of this edit and I've had this song in my head to do an edit with for ages and now it's finally happened.
So far we haven't had a lot of content from them in season three but there has been some little things and something is better than nothing. Still staying strong for the writers to develop there story, my hope is even higher after this weeks episode. They may not get together this season but I definitely can see there story developing.

This is 10000% truth. Even as best friends, especially then! The show began with Archie and Betty, and every actually real moment of love and friendship that seems honest and not dramatized or fan serviced is mostly between Archie and Betty. I like the couples we have now on the show (I guess?), but Betty and Archie have a genuine connection that is 100% without the gimmicks and the extra drama being shoved down our throats with Bughead and Varchie because they don't need that.

I have a gut feeling that we will, but for now, they are giving us slow burns first. I mean ugh they are such an iconic couple in the comic, it is a crime to not explore it. lol.
I wouldn't be so quick to say they won't happen! There have been many hints at a future relationship between Betty & Archie but timing is everything. I'd rather have them happen slowly than not happen at all. They deserve to be done properly, they're that iconic!

Alev Mustafa it’s not that unlikely considering the fact that they are each other’s soulmates in the comics. I think they are just trying to show that archie & betty have always been putting each other first without being a couple. They don’t need any forced chemistry

Iam not gonna lie that was me to but when jughead came along i kinda knew that he was gonna be the one to end up with betty i love Archie but I think he is better of being friends with betty than dating her because then I would feel bad for jughead if betty were to be with Archie and then leave jughead after all he has done for her I would be mad but one thing I don't like in riverdale is Veronica because she is selfish and I hate her and Archie together it is so annoying I don't feel a connection between them I do however feel a connection between jughead and betty

Yooo I'm low-key mad at the writers if they continue to tease us with Barchie. It needs to happen, they are perfect. Varchie seems like a relationship based on physical things, Archie doesn't look happy most of the time with veronica and I feel as if veronica is selfish and up tight. Bughead; at first this couple was everything to me but I low-key knew that they weren't right for each other and now I'm noticing more that Barchie is legit goals. Bughead is toxic periodtt jughead doesn't put Betty first cause he know's Archie will always be in her heart. I hope and pray that the writers don't let these crazy bughead Stans ruin the show. Archie and Betty are just destined. I really do hope the writers don't change the show from the original and jughead will become asexual like he was supposed to.

@@umahosic9418 the reason so many people ship bughead is because no one would've ever thought they'd end up together (they're completely opposite); the perfect girl next door and the guy from the wrong side of the tracks. they bonded over writing & investigating, which is incredibly sweet. i'm sorry but a football player dating a perfect cheerleader doesn't sound that interesting, and i highly doubt that if barchie was dating, riverdale would be as popular. also, the writers said they weren't going to write anything about barchie that has anything to do with them being in love, they're just friends. they want to end the toxic rivalry, frenemy relationship betty & veronica have, and to do that they won't have barchie date. since MOST of riverdale's fans are bughead shippers (take a look at instagram if you don't believe me), if betty started dating archie, a lot of the fans could stop watching, which would be bad for riverdale's rep. also, it's possible that without bh we wouldn't have sprousehart, which is even more iconic and beautiful than bughead. i'm sorry if us "12 year olds" who just love & support our ship just like you annoy you, just because our ship is actually dating in the show. :)

The writers NEED to explore their relationship. They are the center of this damn show and they deserve more screentime and recognition. I don’t understand the hate towards this pure ship. They have this beautiful connection and their relationship is definitely not platonic, this video showcases that perfectly! There‘s history, trust, love, mutual understanding (I could go on) I sincerely hope that the writers aren‘t baiting us here, because it‘s pretty clear they have feelings for each other.

bughead is cute because lili and cole have crazy chemistry but their characters are so boring together, that it kind of ruins everything. also it would be weird for them to end up together because obviously fp and alice had and still have a thing going on (and a child together) and if they decided to be like official they’d be ”siblings“. & we have the same situation with Hermione and fred so that’s all just a huge mess. the best thing the writers can do is pair up betty and archie, alice and fp, fred and Hermione, veronica and reggie or jughead. at least those ships wouldn’t be so fucked up

I think that if the writers do this well, they could be iconic. Like, i don't really like Riverdale for a number of reasons, but these two are some of the best the show's got. I like the idea of the writers breaking the "the girl next door and the village boy are best friends and fall in love" trope by having them do things out of their comfort zone. She dates a southerner ("from the wrong side of the tracks" *cringe*) and does some reckless stuff, he goes to fucking prison and dates a mafia's boss daughter, etc etc. One could say that's why they don't belong together, because they can't fit the roles they are meant to fill, but if the writers keep showing us that their friendship is still strong, their chemistry is clear and potent, and they continue to put each other above all else, then if they come around at the end and become endgame, it's going to be absolutely gorgeous. I hope the shitty writers don't waste this chance of making a truly iconic couple.

It says something that he thinks he's not good enough for Betty but never thinks that of Veronica, like Betty is just so much dearer to him that he could never hurt her in any way intentionally and he believes by loving her he could, but with Veronica it's never a concern. I'm glad that they showed it on this episode. Like if someone were watching this on and off, they wouldn't even know that betty and archie are childhood best friends because the writers manage to always put their romantic relationships as more important. This show rarely show friendship, just relationships so this was a breath of fresh air.

When I first started watching Riverdale, I shipped Bughead and then after watching rewatching seasons 1-2 and the most recent episodes of Season 3 I’m a huge Barchie shipper. I love them so much.
