Sorry their standards are quite low by me ! I won't dared to rave about them at all .
Great work my friend. Your work is a breath of fresh air. As long as your objective is about really good food and stay on course, you'll be succesful.
ll
I tried the Tong Sui stall . While there are many varieties I found the general quality was merely average and did not hit any spots for me .
their glory days are long gone
Used to be cheap and u can scoop as much as u can, but i was charged RM5 a bowl recently. The foreign worker was very bossy. No more for me
Watery broth.. expensive. Bought red beam mix pulut hitam, price cost more than the ind price for either of them. Its 1+1=3. Last time buy from them.
😱 OMG so many varieties and everything look so good, must TRY! It’s hard to find these traditional all-time awesome nowadays.
Section 17 is the best tong sui place for me 20 years ago. I remembered I went there every week for the black sesame paste and peanuts paste tong sui. I still miss them very much till now. I was back to hometown about 16 years already.
Its mouth watering! Feel like going there now.
Leng chai you recommend tongshui very cair and serounding the food makan hampir muntah.
Wow I like all the dessert,,, yummy
I agree the tong sui stall is grossly over rated. Is it very nice? Nope. Its edible la.
Omg all the tong Sui.
Ahhhhhhhhh I want to try them all.
My fav tong sui!!
Large varieties of desserts but should have it covered for hygiene purposes
Super😋😋😋👍👌🙏
KW ice kacang nice but RM6 is expensive. Try peggy at old town food court, cheap n nice.
Fu chuk egg dessert. 🥰🥰 bring back my childhood food.
The Bubur Cha Cha is a thin diluted version.
Team food hunter, must try chicken rice guys, they have branch in shah alam, subang and klang
Thanks for the info, will check it out 🙏😊
Next time pls show all shops food price you eat. Not consistent some got some don't have.
Yummy!!
👍👍👍
😅😂🤣有得看 而已啊。。。 👀🤓🧐👍👍👍 因是在PJ 。。✍
You shoudl try a restaurant called just eat in s.17 PJ
Yum!
I like that fried chicken! so hungry watching this. Thanks
Is that the current price ? 15thjune2022? Xibei cheap lei... Sabah here at least rm6++++
Tong sui too watery! I prefer to make my own tongsui at home every weekend! Easy, before bedtime, just put whatever ingredients and slow cook with timer on for 4 to 5 hours and hey presto, yummy tongsui for breakfast! 😋
at same place Pasar Sentosa ( directly opposite this tong sui stall ) , do try the curry pork rib rice at a stall run by a youngman. HE hv other kind of rice serve in a paper box bento style.
Thanks for the info, will check it out someday 🙏
tesyn hi tuyet v ngon thank
You forgot Wong Kee Chicken Rice. Yummy
I like the chicken below the flat area.
Surprisingly Food in PJ cheaper than Penang
I wanna go there guys 😋😍😇👋🤟✌️
Banana leaf rice meal Is best eaten with your hand, even if you are not good at it.
Clean the top of banana leaves pkace on top of each other but still dirty cos the it her side us not done
I m not a fan of desserts so I got no comment on it
But the red beans n corns from ice kacang from the stalls doesn’t look too good .
Where to find pork satay in kl or selangor? Last mth i ate pork satay in Kuching Swak super nice.
I am looking for it too in Klang Valley. The nearest best pork satay is in Malacca. The Seremban one, Onn Kee is not good enough for me. So much hype on Onn Kee, I was disappointed.
@@kayellai5278 the host has a video of a vendor selling pork satay in Selangor search for it. Still the best Kuching one big and delicious at Hui Sing Garden.
@@kuehsalak557 Thanks for the update. One of my favourite food is satay, I only go for Malay satay and chicken only. I have my own rating on them.
炸雞聽著就好脆好脆!!
To be honest, their tong sui nothing to shout about. Watered down & tasted bland. Not worth the try.
Ah you should eat with hand when you eat banana leaf more nice😁
I agree.
KL foods are too pricey which caused Not Many Malaysians willing to work 9-5 nowadays.
Kwong Wah Ice Kacang - is that cendol or ice kacang?
They have both.
Is this in Kuala Lumpur? Thank you
Petaling Jaya commonly called "PJ" by the locals, is a city in Petaling District, in the state of Selangor, Malaysia.
Life boy
Hong Kee Dessert ... worst in terms of service & quality . The owners are rude and they used to chased away customer using sitting too long on their stools plus they are not so hygienic. Kwong Wah dessert is good but their prices going up to a point its quite ridiculous for a bowl of chap suet. Better go to pj old town food court , the dessert & chap suet is more reasonable priced
I'll never trust someone's opinion on BLR when they eat it using utensils hahaha
Is the restaurants halal
May I know the desserts is what time start business?
4pm
@@FoodHunter thanks for reply
@@marcuskok5969 u welcome 🙏
Can't believe the fourth one are in the list. Nothing to shout about when i ordered their ice kacang and laksa and expensive too. Small bowl somemore. The Chinese young cashier on my first visit was arrogant and their attitude like there is a long queue behind me so make your decision fast and don't ask about the price. As if i don't know i have to pay premium for that small bowl of food. That arrogant face make my first trip there my last.
Yes precisely the ABC looks so mediocre hahaha 😂
The old location now having cendol and similar food. Name is Sistars kitchen. Food better, cheaper and less queue.
Sometimes with good food is not enough , it must go along with good service
`chinese young casher`- at first ya i feel the same but thats the way she interact that you need to adapt , the same way you interact here complaining. gd luck with that im the only one correct attitude.
Agreed with you 100% - My 1st visit is my last visit to this place. Cashier freaking arrogant & rude, prices for the food items also damn expensive but anyway, PJ ppl willing to pay for this mediocre cut throat food!
Section 17 has not real dish to offer and this food hunter has it all wrong. I do live not too far away and would frequent the place/ area after 3. Only worthy of notice was the chicken rice nearby at the side. Other than that I would give this a great miss even at night or on Sunday.
Where is letter u
tsbn hao Khan thank
Kwong Wah cendol is so overrated for me. Tried it once, didn't think it was anything special.
Agreed. Nothing special really. Went there two days ago and the Cendol was nothing like in the video in terms of the portion served.
@@bluemarlin2u I don’t get people sometimes. Take roti toast with butter & kaya. We’ve always had this at the kopitiam for the longest time. But take the same item, put it in a nice environment, charge triple for it, and suddenly it’s become a new popular food, which everybody is shouting praises for. 😂
Yes . I agree with the replies . The shaved ice was not fine enough ( coarse) and the Santan was a little thin to my liking
@@AndrewYPTang It's all about the hype of eating in a hip place. We checked out the joint (specifically for Cendol) out of curiosity to see what the fuss was all about. Clearly a 'once bitten twice shy' experience. Gimme back my regular haunt ie Nyonya Cendol at Summit anytime.
@@AndrewYPTang 😁
Tong sui self service? Hope the customers wash their hands before handling it
If you are not a dessert lover skip this video.
If you saw how the desserts were prepared, you wouldn't want to petronise!
華僑??
That banana leaf rice is sold by chinese?
Hahaha yeah not a single Indian around all foreign faces 🤣
If it taste good it taste good.
Also this is M'sia anyone can do Bananaleaf rice business.
no big deal
Biggest loss to Sec 17 is Restoran Say Huat....
U are rite 😢
The deserts tong sui are are below par. Wld not go there.
bizarre, ice used disposable container; hot used plastic !
I really don't understand the point of eating food on a banana leaf if you're going to use fork and spoon. Use a goddamn plate.
Hahaha he doesn't wanna get his manicured hands and nails dirty and curry smelling la 🤣
@@hafilzam that is true. But film someone else la.
Mixing up 3 types of curry on the rice, that's nonsense n spoils the taste.
packing in plastic bag ???? eating on banana leaf with fork and spoon really
Hong Kee Dessert (洪记糖水) - too much white sugar, too sweet. NOT healthy at all ! !
Every food blogger just keep recommending the tong sui stall because its famous but its overrated AF been there once and never again. Even from the screen you can tell the peanut soup dessert is diluted
MSG !
No quality tong sui . It is what is mean sui only
I tried it.. variety yes, quality NO
Kwong Wah is so over-rated, over-priced and not all that good.
Lousy food
Worst 'Tong Sui' I've had in my whole life. Totally diluted. Shouldn't be recommended at all. There are far better and genuine 'Tong Sui' vendors elsewhere in PJ. 🤮
