- According to Craig Carton, the New York Jets have made an initial offer for Davante Adams, who is very disgruntled with the Las Vegas Raiders. Danny Parkins and Mark Schlereth join him to discuss potential trade destinations for Adams, including the Baltimore Ravens and Kansas City Chiefs.

Mixed feelings here. Let’s say Adams goes to the Jets, Jets win the Super Bowl. Aaron Rodgers retires in a couple years and Adams/Lazard move on. Yes I’d be happy for the Jets but it would feel like the Packers 2.0 and I don’t think it would be fulfilling at all. There’s no excuse for not being able to find a franchise QB and develop a successful system for him to flourish. It feels like the Miami Marlins when they won the World Series. They got what they wanted, cashed out, and were never heard from again. They need to learn from the perennial playoff contenders on how to build a team rather than applying temporary bandaids wherever they see a hole.

As a ravens fan I would love to have him. Lamar has never had an elite or even pro bowl WR. Zay flowers is the closest we got and he’s not the tall lanky elite catcher that Adam’s is. But I think Adam’s wants to go somewhere where he will be utilized the most… and the ravens are a rush first team and with that model you tend to not attract superstar WR talent unless you draft a rookie and develop them
