    I bought a new ASR about a month ago. Thanks for confirming that I bought the right bike :-). I'm looking to do long distance XC races like Silver Rush 50, Leadville 100 and 12/24 hour races with it.

    Was really excited for this series, but then you mentioned the pricing and I had to keep myself from falling out of my chair lol. I'll watch with a grain of salt knowing I would be shooting for the more budget builds.
    I appreciate the breakdown of all the components! Very thorough. If I had to give one critique that might help (I promise I'm no expert and don't believe for a second I could do a video of this quality) I would say to try to refrain from getting stuck on one phrase too much. For nearly every component you used the phrase "for ______ we actually have..."
    Overall, great video! I've really been enjoying your content.

      Its expensive because all the downcountry bike he is testing are carbon frame. If you aren't gonna be competing or racing, i suggest you go for aluminium frame. There are a couple out there that might be in your budget.

    Looking forward to see which one is the most comfortable and fast, most compliant. Is the one I would want. This one already sounds like its top of the class.

    Compliments the Sram Rock Shox twist lock as the best against Fox, proceeds to cut to a action shot with a Fox dropper lever in clear view. Savage 😂
    Great review! Keep them coming 🤙🏼

    Loving the reviews and format. I wonder, however, if long/low/slack bikes would reign supreme on east coast XC trails that are generally much slower speed and twistier than West Coast or Rocky Mountain trails where so many bikes are reviewed. I have multiple XC/Downcountry bikes and the older ones (2011 Epic Comp, 2016 Niner RKT 9 RDO) handle these trails better than the slacker Downcountry bike I have. The taller bottom bracket allows pedaling over slow techy climbs and the 70 degree head tube angle allows for a quick line change to choose the smoothest line.
    All these reviews online are on the same type of XC trails, but with the exception of places like Pisgah or Windrock, normal East coast style trails aren’t represented.
    I’m excited to see if Mo and Hannah end up in Tennessee where future reviews can show East coast trails and differentiate from the rest of the industry.
    I am happy that you addressed how the bike handles in tight twisty sections. That seems to be left out in so many reviews on other channels.

      I ride tight singletrack mostly. My bikes have 71 and 69 degree head angles. I dont feel the need to go slacker. The bike with a flip chip I prefer in the high position. And they are both old. 2017 Sworks epic and 2013 Devinci Dexter.

    Really need the epic and other bike with and without flight attendant for a fair comparison to the Yeti. Very few ppl are going to want to fork over $15k for a new bike.

      @@no-hope-in-the-popeneither, there are better lighter XC bikes out there and cheaper. I would take the Exie. It’s proven in XC WC. Yeti doesn’t even have a pro team

    • @moandhannahtravel
      @moandhannahtravel  Месяц назад

      we would say the Yeti ASR! We love that bike, super comfortable and a bit more stable!

      I was deciding between the Exie and ASR... But never find one to test ride, and a USA exie was available. I'm really into it, much more comfy and stable than the Epic Evo 7 it replaced. But still wondering...
