Abby,could you do a kitchen tour. The glimpse we've had thus far, with Christmas greenery, looks so cozy. Specifically, I 'love pointers on how you transform spaces using vintage pieces. Our family does something similar, except I make deviled eggs, a crackers and cheese platter, a veggie platter, and sliced sausages. Hope your party was festive🎄

Part of the reason is I have shelves ripped off the wall on one side of the kitchen 😂 I should show anyway and show the progress! That’s a brilliant idea about integrating pieces of old furniture into functional work spaces. ❤️🎄❤️🎄❤️ Merry Christmas!
I'm a 3rd generation picker and seller, so I often get first pick at estate finds either as a buyout or a sale I conduct. I too, love to collect misc. singular platters and unusual "dishes" for doing just the same thing you did. At Christmas, my daughter made some guacamole (spelling??) and we put it in a dish I bought from one of the couples I did a sale for when they donwsized to an assisted living. Rosie signed it '61. She told me the story of when she made it. She had sons and her daughter-in-laws didn't want much....so, now I have Rosie's dish and I LOVE it and thought of her at Christmas when I filled it and washed it. The connections I make with pieces to me is priceless.
Love the little bowl with the gold on it. Was watching this video because I want to start preparing a cheese board on Sundays for our lunch.Everything you did looked beautiful. I would have never thought to serve cream cheese with fruit jelly on top great idea.
Now THAT’S a charcuterie board! A whole butcher block counter😋😄. I was going to tell you I’m a cheese addict also. Any cheese even cottage and cream cheese - and then you get out the cream cheese lol. I love the hot pepper jelly too. Thanks for all the inspiration, believe it or not I never thought of pickles! I've used Italian salad dressing mix in my cream cheese. Spread on little cocktail bread or crackers. Yum Everything looks wonderful! ( btw - I'm new here and am trying to catch up with your videos )

Did you build your island or buy it? What type of wood and what do you do to keep it in good condition?
We bought it years ago, and modified it a bit to our liking. We just wipe a butcher block oil (food grade) on top every week and that's it :)
