After modeling our 3D character in part 1 ( Link to first video : goo.gl/x4UaYQ ) we are now going to Parent Rig our guy.
A parent rig will allow you to animate a character like the one show in the video.

Hi Mike ;) I did this type of rigging a long time ago when i was testing way old version of Max and there were no tuts of how to do it exactly (atach the geometry to the skeleton) so i did this exact thing. But i thing using standard skeleton (joints) is better still. And you can make IK quickly :)

When are you thinking about releasing the rigging using joints video? Also, whats your opinion on Maya's Auto Rigging Tool? I also liked how you emphasized how you NEED to delete history and freeze transformations. Two semesters ago my animations were ruined due to not parenting correctly and not deleting history and freezing transformations.
