Only watching for Lee Mack. If he were hosting this, lets say... show, i'd watch it in a heartbeat.
This was painful to watch, Lee Mack was being great and giving them a good and funny story to work with, but the top gear hosts seemed so uninterested and bored. I wish the bbc would just replace the lot of them and start over from scratch. they are boring to watch, it's so painfully obvious it is scripted, and any genuine moments are few and far between.

The only trio that i can think of replacing Clarkson, May and Hammond era is probably Lee, David and Rob. Then again, they already have WILTY show.

I can see why Top Gear may not be around much longer now that I’ve seen it’s new format, set style and yaaaawn hosts. Lee Mack was the life in this clip.

Because Top Gear is shite without those who made it famous, and these two twerps haven't a clue how to make something sound interesting to a viewer, it seems.

When I heard people complaining about the post clarkson top gear I thought they were complaining because they didn't like change, they had to get used to it. But they were right, this show might as well be cancelled for it isn't a smither of the greatness it used to be. The top gear with Clarkson, Hammond and May (I have seen it be dubbed 'the good top gear') was always a bit cluncky, never streamlined, out of touch with contemporary forms of television making. But that was, I see now, 'good top gear's' greatest aspect. Although the budget was huge, one never got the feeling they were distant from the common petrolhead.
Though I have to admit to only have seen this clip as an example for the show as a whole. Even in this very short clip, this short segment which isn't even a tenth of a normal episode, I immediatly got the sensation that everything was off. The crowd was seperated, I wouldn't even want to go as far as to call it a crowd anymore, it were more like innocent bystanders watching as the programme itself was suffering. The title of this video made suggestions that Lee Mack was indeed a car lover who owns a staggering amount of classics, but the answers were not suprising in the slightest, the most suprising thing in this whole ordeal was the discrepancy with the title. The interview itself was unsuited for a car show of this allure, it should be interactive and fun, this was far from it. Which brings me on to the final part of the clip, and indeed of this rant. The commentary of the lap. How can it be that even reaction youtubers (which are often percieved to be over the top and ill educated) have a more entertaining and convincing way of reacting upon something, while this is a high budget show. The commentary over the lap wasn't complementing the quite funny situation of the lap itself, instead it was pointing out the obvious and annoying to the point that I considered turning the sound down to an absolute zero.
This show has become a joke, but unlike the former one, this one isn't funny.
This is the first time I've seen new Top Gear. Not the same without Clarkson is it.

Honest to god this is the first I've seen of the new Top Gear, and it looks absolutely shite. The hosts are boring, the jokes are forced, and the overall atmosphere is bland and tasteless. Congratulations on cocking up another brilliant show BBC. *slow clap*

Matt LeBlanc has zero inflection is his voice. Chris Evans was annoying but LeBlanc has gone completely the other way and become boring.

Just read through the episodes after top gear ended (2015) and saw a bunch of good celebrities who have been on the show since. Never seen or heard of Lee being there before.

Is a public broadcaster allowed to lie in video descriptions? Unless of course we are meant to be surprised that Lee Mack *doesn't* have a car collection. Also, agreed with comments below- Lee Mack tries so very hard to be funny but he's just not getting any help from the lackluster presenters. Or audience. Zombies indeed. There is no energy to the set.

Lee Mack went on a show called room101 (for people who haven’t seen it ) , where celebrities put their pet hates up for discussion and criticism in a comedic way. His pet hate was top gear, and cars. Suprised to see he was on here. Not suprised the presenters didn’t seem interested.
Wouldn’t Lee Mack be a wicked presenter on this.

I'm a huge fan of Lee Mack but sorry to say I haven't watched Top Gear in a long long time with this lineup ,I have seen a few of the Flintoff,Mcguinness shows and they are funny.

The commentary for the lap was, well there wasn't any and made it boring to watch. Doesn't matter if the lap is fast or not, the commentary adds to it. Lee had to make his own...

I'm glad the Lee Mack's ability as a comedian far, far outclasses his ability as a driver. My great great great great grandmother, who, were she still alive, would be 210 years old, could driver faster then that and she only had a horse and cart as cars were not invented.
