  • We're back with the second segment of our Inexpensive Leather Stamping Tools series, and today we're looking at geometric designs. Geometric stamps are great because you can use them as small details, or cover an entire panel. They're extremely versatile stamping tools that look great on any piece.

With the honeycomb I like to drop the next stamp partially on top of a previous stamp. So it sort of interlocks. Works well.

How long did you practice spinning the square to get it perfect? 😂 I had to pause and rewind to see it a second time.👍

A leather element idea, how to prep your leather for a project. Like get rid of the fuzziness on the back and anything else you would want to do

On my geometric stamps I put a sharpie mark where the points are on the top of the stamp. Then I just line up the sharpie marks and usually get a good result. I also use the same technique on other stamps like skulls so I see where the edges are from the top of the stamp.

I have found with the honey comb that you can go back into the previous stamp for a nice border or fill... as long as you are careful and let it settle into the previous groove

I was thinking why he didn't show filling out an area with it solid. I think I know what you mean. Over lap the two cells that are right next to each other over the same on your previous stamp in the leather? Am I describing the same thing as you are, just in a different way? If not I'd like to know what method you are referring to so I can try it out.
