Episode 15- Coach RAC Discusses Confidence and Motivation

Welcome back fellow Headbangers to another exciting video from Coach RAC! In today's episode, Coach RAC discusses his 2 methods on encouraging kids struggling with confidence.
High level Baseball and softball require 2 things:
1. confidence and 2. motivation.
Without confidence, in game performance will suffer, and without motivation or discipline, practice performance will suffer.
So how do you give your kid or even yourself confidence and motivation?
Celebrate work ethic, not results.
There shouldn’t only be celebration upon succeeding, because success in baseball is NOT something we can control. Real confidence is something that is built LITTLE BY LITTLE and it is built by celebrating work ethic, celebrating the process and not the results.
Make it fun. If you want Motivation, then have fun. The biggest motivator is a love for the game. So don’t make it seem like a burden, have fun with it. One bonus tip, if emotionally you aren’t feeling like putting in the work, then lead with your MOTIONS. Oftentime by leading with our motions, our emotions will follow.
