MaryEllen, I want to share some news with you. In August, my 42-yeaar-old son came to Atlanta to see if he was a match to donate one of kidneys to the father of a lifelong friend. Michael came to save this gentleman's life; little did we know he would end up saving his own. When he was tested, the doctors found a tumor in his colon. My son has colon cancer that has metastasized to his liver. BUT GOD!!! If Michael were not the kind of man who would unselfishly give of himself to another, we would not have found out about the cancer. All of his physicals did NOT show any signs of it, and it would be two years until he would have a colonoscopy! He began chemo and it made him so sick (he was taking eight pills a day), he had to be hospitalized for a week. Starts again this Wednesday if Ashville is back to normal. Please pray for my baby boy. This is the hardest thing we have been through!

Hi MaryEllen!💕 Isn’t it amazing that our skin looks better without all the foundation we used in the past! I will say that I put a very small drop of foundation on my makeup table (glass top) and dab tiny bit on a couple of my areas that have broken capillaries, but that’s only if I’m going somewhere special. Normally, I just use the DRMTLGY SPF daily, mascara, and lipstick. Like you, I very much enjoy the Mally Face Defender if my skin a bit too glowy. Your skin really looks amazing. I've gone back to using Retin-A this last year and have found that I don't need foundation so much anymore either. That along with niacinamide that you introduced me to ages ago has really smoothed and brightened my complexion. My memories of the nuns weren't exactly fun in my school though :). Laurie

Hello and Happy early birthday to you! I love your look and will try the eyeliner. I tried the Gwen one and ruined it with the sharpening. It just whittled away. The lippy looks gorgeous on you. I'm using less makeup too. I do have a hard time with looking so pale though and having my makeup color stay. BTW I do use the Timeless Dark Circle Eye Cream, I have a very sensitive eye area and it doesn't bother me & seems to help the darkened circles. They had 30% off last week. Good morning MaryEllen, I enjoyed this GRWM very much. I would like to wear less makeup, but being very fair and having roseaca, I use makeup mainly to cover redness and veins. Usually my only pop of color is my eyeliner. I'll have to try VB since both you and Melissa give it high praise.

So happy to see you! Love that you did a GRWM. I always learn a tip I can use from you. Love the new navy eyeliner pencil and the way you applied it on the upper lid. I use IT Cosmetics Super Hero mascara because of your recommendation and I love it. I just received two new tubes as backup. Great tip to use a rubber band on the tube. I’m going to use that. Good to hear Jim is doing good. I saw my surgeon recently. He said my spine needs need decompressed, but not sure if a fusion with rods and screws are the way to treat my condition. He knows I’m in pain, he was compassionate. He’s sending me to another surgeon that his specialty is putting in stimulators. The batteries have to be changed about every five years. I’m not able to see him until mid November. My doctor said if the other surgeon says that a fusion is the way to go then we will do that. So I’m in limbo right now. Always good to see you. I also enjoyed the chat and it's good to hear that you and Jim are both doing o.k. I feel the same as you about eyeliners. My HG shade is purple, which is also hard to get right. Hi MaryEllen! Your skin is so beautiful you don’t need anything. I love the IT mascara also. I’m sorry I didn’t watch sooner. My internet has been out due to the hurricane. It’s been a scary time. Authorities said that the dam in our county was going to break so it was intense for a few days. By the grace of God it held. Some are without homes, some without water. Many in the state (TN) have lost loved ones. We lost one in our county that hasn’t been found. He drowned in the river trying to rescue someone. It’s a horrific and sad time for many. I’m just so thankful to be alive and that all my family is safe.
I hope your son wasn’t impacted by the hurricane. I know NC & SC were hit harder than we were. I’m glad to hear Jim is still doing well. You’re such a delightful person and I enjoy your channel so much.

I lucked out today seeing your GRWM. I'm amazed how that iT powder removed the darkness. I also love those brushes. I'll have to also try that skin blurring product. You don't need foundation. Just beautiful at 70 almost 71. You introduced me to some new products I'm looking forward to try. Thank you. PS I've also just used tinted moisturizer during the summer and liked it so much. My husband & I just survived Hurricane Helene...Thank the Lord, our power stayed on and we didn't have any damage. It was just a little stressful and scary.
