Thank you for all you are doing to help all of us - all over the world 🙏🏻 You are counted among humanity’s very best, giving so freely of your time and energy! A phenomenal man, Mike! I do hope you have some idea of how very much you are appreciated!
Hey Mke, I can't tell you how I lit up seeing you in my INBOX! I've seen and done all the balance exercises featured in this copilation before. I work on my balance diligently, even much more so than before due to your tireless emphasis on its importance. I am now doing 12 tightrope steps forward and backward 3 times, as well as 12 toe walking exercises and I'm doing great. I have been doing the straight backward toe walk and will now try the alternate foot one. I tend to my balance exercised 3 to 5 times/week. You are the BESTEST trainer I've encountered online, and turn to you almost every day, permitting myself a "vacation" day only once in a while. Please place this routine in the proper category of exercises for easy access, won't you? Ever grateful for your tireless efforts to make us healthier!...Anastasia
Hey Anastasia. It is so great to hear about your progress with your balance. All of your hard work is paying off! Thank you for your reminder again as well - will do! Keep up the great work!
Yes sir Mike, you are appreciated! I recently ran across you channel and thought “finally” someone who thinks about us seniors!Suffering from arthritis, balance issues, spine issues, I find these extremely helpful to ward off being stove up & stiff. So far I have saved several for a quick go to. Thank You young man for thinking of us and doing all you can to keep our golden years active. ❤️
I had some difficulty with the balance because I broke my leg over a year ago but I was happy I did it so again thank you so much 😊 I will be doing this every day You’re the best of all. I appreciate your help to all of us God bless you
First of all thank you Mike for the previous balance exercises and today´s. Previous balance exercises I have been doing on and off and enjoyed them always. Today´s are my favorites ones, as I love walking on my toes back and forth; and to walk on the "tight rope". I do really well. Thank you. You are truly the best!
I love these short, doable videos. While I might put off a longer one, there is really no excuse for me not to do a 7-minute, non-sweaty balance workout! Thanks Mike for your generosity in creating and sharing these.
Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!!! Oh Mike, the next time I'm pulled over for a DUI, I'm gonna be able to pass the balance test! (Just kiddin). Thanks for yanking on my chain and getting me up and at it again. I greatly appreciate you.
Great balance workout. I enjoyed doing this. One thing I noticed, I can do the tightrope walk backwards better, than forwards. Go figure! Any way, I did both with shoes on and off. Interesting results. My balance is improving, so a big than you to Mike and his wonderful videos and advice.
Just found your channel. I really like your exercises, they work on all the things I need to work on as a senior. Thank you for compiling such great exercises I can do from now on. 😊
I haven't been able to exercise in a few weeks, this was a great place to start I also did some squats and lunges and a few arm weight exercises to stretch my arms. Feels good to be exercising (even if it's small).
I tried these barefooted. (I remember that from the 'foot strengthening segment', a while back.) Hmm. Mega-positive practice for me, especially for reminding what the lower muscles are supposed to be doing, when there are screws in the ankles. Tip-toeing = excellent. Going backwards? I forget that I do that all the time! p.s. Your plants are loving the rhythm also!
Thank you...Mike. 👩🌾🇦🇺 Not too complicated. ..... can you DO them Everyday? Also , when you do them and you get BETTER at doing them, do you go longer OR stay at that pace?
Great work Dianne. There are many ways you can continue to challenge yourself. Some of these include... Increase the length you're walking, do more repetitions. Increase the time on the static exercises. Change the surface underneath your feet (eg a balance board, pillow). Do a task whilst balancing (eg turning head slowly from side to side, catch a ball, etc).
Hello, my grandmother that previously loved watching your videos with me has returned to the carribean islands but sadly in the carribean she is not active and has lost the ability to use her legs, I imagine this is not a permanent effect but I am curious as to what you would recommend to help her recover her legs. I believe her medical diagnosis is muscle atrophy , but the recovery is difficult as she is experiencing pain in her kidney area (left side). What leg exercises would you recommend that will not exacerbate the kidney pain?
Sorry to hear this MugEdge, but yes it is not permanent with the right exercise she can get that muscle strength and growth back. I do recommend she sees a Doctor for the pain and a Physiotherapist for the muscle weakness/atrophy, if possible. In regards to exercises - it's very difficult to say without seeing your grandmother and knowing her capabilities. You could go through the seated and standing leg exercises with her on Zoom (start with beginner leg exercises) and see which ones she is capable of doing without pain... Start with less repetitions also and work up to more repetitions and progress the exercises as she gets stronger, over time. Consistency is key.
Hey everyone, get up practice your balance with me! 🙂 Also remember to subscribe to the channel. Keep moving and I’ll see you soon for more!
