Epic character, I had a lot of fun covering this one! It's going to be cool in future leagues seeing what everybody comes up with to farm these crazy maps
This build was a lot of fun to play. I loved not dying so much! I learned how to do a lot of the uber boss mechanics just by sitting in front of them and watching. I ended up swapping to something that does way more damage but dies 10% more often. I ended up playing with The Adorned and dropping some things like the Forbidden Flesh/Flame and that was fun to see ES number go big. The amount of game knowledge I have gained this league has been immense and your videos for this build have been a big part of it.
it would die pretty easily in pvp. It doesnt have any insane recovery mechanics that make it unkillable, it just has lots of dmg reduction. Any build with some ele damage and penetration will kill it in
Honestly the VPBs (or as I like to call them, Valdo's Rest-in-peace maps) are one of the coolest things ever put in this game. Way more exciting than Reliquary Keys in terms of contributor customization options.

Imagine someone coming back to PoE with knowledge from PoE as it was back in 2018 or so. He's watching this and wondering what kind of game has this become now? Just funny to think about sometimes how this all evolved. I'm not sure it can keep going this way. Like something has got to give. The complexity of the moving parts has increased, but the upper end of power level is off the chart crazy. People make builds with several billions of damage or they make builds that basically cannot die to anything. Something that, in the past, would warrant a patch to fix when it occurred. Like I remember this one league where I sold my vaal immortal call on standard for hundreds of exalts before it got patched out months later. Now people reach this level of tankiness where they can afk everything that exist... and it does not get patched. Because it's complex to get to this point.
Even after watching this, having his pob, etc... I have no clue how to get there and I don't think I will anytime soon (even if I had infinite currency hack because I doubt those items are even for sale). Imo if a player spends enough time and has such vast knowledge that gets him to this point... more power to them! Not like it ruins my gameplay.
Its insane to me just how insane builds can get in poe, I never do any meta shit or grind currency like this, im just a normal player that has never seen anything worth over 10 divines. Actually insane levels of power that you can get to with meta gear

Tbf, chances are you have seen 10+div items - certain uniques with wide range which sell on max rolls, or fractured items with a sweet max roll mod (I found a quiver with max roll %crit multi this league). It's not always the chase items which sell big. Another way is knowing what ppl want and craft catering to them. As an example, a triple rarity helmet is done in under 5 div (minus bubblegum, bc c'mon, bubblegum is worth nothing this league, just run 1-2 abyss spired maps and you're good), only relies on altspam + regal hit, and sells for 12-15 div minimum

to anyone that tries to build this now, you should only try this build if youre vastly rich inside the game lol. i had one MB + 250 divs to build it, and it was nowhere near enough. not even to fully juiced t16 maps, let alone voided ones. not enough damage, somewhat decent survivability. but a fun build

one thing I've never seen explained... How do you search for mageblood/headhunter valdo maps? I'm not sure how to filter out all the troll baited breath maps
Love this build - however how would you go about starting as a SSF HC player or even in ruthless? This is end type gear, which what would be your starting point as a SSF HC player?
Im still playing this build, can say its op as hell and i have just 27k es i stop upgrade it... i put phew mirrors into the gear but everything i farm with him and done extra like 10+ mirrors
@sicilianonelcuore I mirror just the shield and ring from captainlance the rest I done it , if you want to try this bud you need a minimum of mageblood and I think like 200-300 divs to start it
@@pleoschard disagree. While you probably won’t be farming valdos on a budget, you can “start” this build without all that. I have this build at about a 20 divine budget. I only have about 11k Es and I can literally AFK tank t-16 bosses no issue. Without mageblood or flasks up. The damage really suffers without the heavy investment, so you’re not gonna be setting any land speed records for map clearing, but you’re not going to die very often. The biggest worry is non-ailment damage over time. If it greatly exceeds your regen you’re gonna have a bad time. More investment would obviously help mitigate that more. I’ve had to get a lot more dex and strength due to the %attributes being so damn expensive. But a nice Astramentis was a decent stop gap in the mean time. It’s nice having such a giga tanky character and still knowing I have so much room for improvements still.
If you do any form of "union of souls" maps, you will eventually die from a stygian revenant and effectively be one-shot Happened to me twice. Stygian revenant do physical damage corpse explosions based upon allies life. With union of souls that life gets multiplied, and so does the pure phys damage that the stygian revenant does. Just letting you all know before you have 5 mirrors deleted like me
"my my my.." you know there can be versions of this build out there that did not do things like you did, yet they are miles better.. Most likely they exist too. There are people who are above even the normal youtube build posters.
When you say KBOF might be the best version of the build, can you elaborate at all? Or point to someone you know that is doing it well? I want an end of league grind character and I think I want to do int stack trickster KBOF that approaches immortality. I’ve got about a day or so to finish grinding to the mageblood and then I need to start putting some pieces together.
lance plays sc trade the way it's meant to be played. innovation and creativity will always be better content than magic finding 16 hours a day with a 5 year old cookie cutter build
why are you acting like magic find is any less creative? The levels of juice laying people put into maps is as complex, if not more complex, than this build. You have to optimise wisp collection, you have to get +2 proj on an 8 mod map, you have to use the right sextants scarabs and atlas. And then you need a build capable of handling it, and that build itself has a lot of layers to it, most importantly is the balance of stacking MF vs damage. Because you need like 1b+ dps to handle those maps, which has lead people to playing much lower dps builds that are unkillable like fulcrum because the dps required on something like MF TS is impossible to reach for t16s, or they play in t7 maps. Trust me if you try slap together a random MF character for a few divines and start alch+go random maps, youll make no currency and die a lot. There's a lot of thought and creativity that has gone into optimising MF. Like people making a private league for the +2proj mod to MF and then transfer that over to the main game, that's insane and extremely creative.
If you are referring to Doryani Prototype - nobody will. This build is extremely vulnerable to lightning dots, which can nearly oneshot. It is just too dangerous to run void maps

this build isnt happening in HC. its only possible because all the MFers in SC are injecting insane amounts of currency into the game, which makes crafting projects like this build viable. A 10 mirror build has never been easier to put together, usually thats like a 3 month project but people are farming that in
generally just crafting, mapping, and doing the league mechanic with basic quantity/rarity gear. start progressing, people get characters like this in SSF. if you REALLY wanna learn the nitty gritty then i recommend finding a skilled SSF/HCSSF streamer and watching their league start. you should learn a lot
Build gets hella expensive when you wanna start doing Ubers reliably, let alone Valdo's. I'm running it at under 50 divines right now and I got really lucky with cluster jewel crafting, so it's not horrible but you can easily put mirrors into this, it gets super expensive.

This builds always amazes me. But they are waaay to expensive. When you are finish with it, could you do some sort "X divine Budged" challenge for this build, where X is something reasonable like 10 or 30? (Yes, That includes no mageblood) What I mean is... Way over a mageblood I'd say, and the mageblood maps if you didn't look into it are very pricey themselves. You don't really farm mageblood void maps unless you're already filthy rich and (likely) using a mageblood already. Source : I'm filthy rich, and would've never been able to run a void mageblood map without being able to : 1 - Risk losing the map investment (around 130div at the time I did it) 2 - Have a build capable of clearing said maps (can't imagine a build under at the very least 200 divines being able to do it with 100% confidence) If you wanna farm a mageblood, just farm currency normaly.

You can play this on a budget, CI blade trap trickster, use traitor for flasks uptime instead of mageblood, but you will absolutely not be tanky enough for These maps, if you wanna farm mageblood maps like this you need mirrors (Plural intended) of budget
It's less about ES and more about mitigation and recovery, imo. Im this video his ES pool has never dipped below 25k. Partially because of how big that pool is and thus how effective is ES recharge after wicked ward proc. My wild guess would be 15k ES at minimum for relatively easy maps. At the very least, Lance has showcased this build when he had 19k ES, not 27k - and he was doing void maps on inquisitor with 10k ES(with energy blade active) prior to this character
@@OmnifyMyAss I an currently at 14 k. Only 75 res but +40 energy recharge. I am thinking about to risk it. Problem is, that mageblood is a big buff for this build. Like almost any builds.
@@Buggolious Overall 14k ES 50000 Evasion 100% suppress 164 Armour I am thinking about to test a delirious map without aura and reduced damage and take off both rings. But i am still afraid that zhis is too much against the feared.
I feel like the Valdo's maps have been the nail in the coffin to make me quit the game. The gap between what I have time to set goals to do and the goals I'd really like to do is so much wider now. A year ago I could play just in my evenings after work and still farm the hardest content, but I feel like that time is gone now.
These maps are for incredibly optimized characters, providing an ultimate endgame challenge since killing ubers in a matter of seconds becomes quite boring with this level of investment
there was a server disconnect. normally, if you log out your character instantly leaves the game, but during a disconnect, your character is still there, the game assumes you're AFK. So in the time it took to restore internet, his character died.
Man I'd love to play this build but... I can't farm the level of divines needed to craft this gear. Or even attempt to. If you want to let someone borrow your gear for a day or two because you're bored, I promise to return it. I figure I could grind hard enough in a day to have a decent set put together.

Lance takes of his amulet, usuallly kalandras touch is least impactful but he needs the stats from his ring so his amulet goes away instead

1 - Risk losing the map investment (around 130div at the time I did it)
2 - Have a build capable of clearing said maps (can't imagine a build under at the very least 200 divines being able to do it with 100% confidence)
If you wanna farm a mageblood, just farm currency normaly.
this build is mutliple mirrors at least and there are no shortcuts

@@thesunryze4658 Yeah but the problem is, my RNG is actually ass. its worse than u think. I gigga farmed juiced t16 like full MF and everything and i ended Ancestor with around 80 Div... So idk how well its gonna go this league.
My build was prob 40 of those divines, i did get some lucky corrupts but thats it. (i dropped omni on my quest exarch)

@@beasthaven1571 trickster is usually a pretty well-average ascendency. People usually play raider, slayer, zerk, chieftain, etc way less.

You can get the cost to 0. Link it with it inspiration and get a mana cost flask craft and idr if you need something more

You can play this on a budget, CI blade trap trickster, use traitor for flasks uptime instead of mageblood, but you will absolutely not be tanky enough for These maps, if you wanna farm mageblood maps like this you need mirrors (Plural intended) of budget

What is the minimum ES you would go into the void maps?
It's less about ES and more about mitigation and recovery, imo. Im this video his ES pool has never dipped below 25k. Partially because of how big that pool is and thus how effective is ES recharge after wicked ward proc. My wild guess would be 15k ES at minimum for relatively easy maps. At the very least, Lance has showcased this build when he had 19k ES, not 27k - and he was doing void maps on inquisitor with 10k ES(with energy blade active) prior to this character

I an currently at 14 k. Only 75 res but +40 energy recharge.
I am thinking about to risk it.
Problem is, that mageblood is a big buff for this build. Like almost any builds.

I feel like the Valdo's maps have been the nail in the coffin to make me quit the game. The gap between what I have time to set goals to do and the goals I'd really like to do is so much wider now. A year ago I could play just in my evenings after work and still farm the hardest content, but I feel like that time is gone now.

These maps are for incredibly optimized characters, providing an ultimate endgame challenge since killing ubers in a matter of seconds becomes quite boring with this level of investment

there was a server disconnect. normally, if you log out your character instantly leaves the game, but during a disconnect, your character is still there, the game assumes you're AFK. So in the time it took to restore internet, his character died.
Man I'd love to play this build but... I can't farm the level of divines needed to craft this gear. Or even attempt to. If you want to let someone borrow your gear for a day or two because you're bored, I promise to return it. I figure I could grind hard enough in a day to have a decent set put together.
