    With all due respect, you need to edit and retract this video. You kept showing the Can Am Ryker which is NOT a Spyder. The Ryker DOES not feature the same comforts, engine or features as the Spyder. The Spyder has a few trim lines and NOT only chrome, which you mentioned but showed the black. As a consumer this video is confusing.

    FYI consumers, consider this, the steering of a Spyder vs Harley TriGlide or Honda. Logistically, at high speeds you might not notice but the one wheel in front is harder to steer as you are literally dragging the heaviest part of the bike behind the front wheel and the 2 rear wheels do not move. The Spyder and Ryker is easier to steer, though the Ryker does NOT have power steering.

    After my wife and I have rode over 300,000 miles on two wheelers we had to go to three wheels due to her health issues. She has battled cancer eight times and when the cancer in her brain caused her to have seizues we thought if she had a seizure on a two wheeler we might have an accident injuring both of is and possibly others. On a three wheeler our thoughts were that I should be able to pull over and take care ofher needs. The good news is she had brain surgery last August to remove some of the cancer and has not had a seizure since. These days she walks with a walker and walks out in the garage, crawls up on our three wheeler and we go for a ride every day the weather permits.
    Now our choice of three wheelers. We test drove the Canam Spyder and at 45 mph she was screaming she wanted off. On the Gold Wing trike she said it reminded her of a bicycle with training wheels bobbing side to side on the training wheels. Then we test drove the Harley Daivson TriGlide and things went smooth;y. We are on our second TriGlide now and still enjoying evrey ride.

    I understand the purpose of the video but I feel the comparison isn't accurate or fair. I say that because the Harley is a purpose-built trike with 2 wheels at the back. The Can Am is the same but has two wheels at the front (I note that others have pointed out the fact that the video features images of the Ryker which is made by the same company and also has 2 wheels at the front but in most other respects has little in common with the Spyder). The two wheels on the front (or reverse trike as some call them) dictate an entirely different way of riding. Finally, the Goldwing conversion, whilst I am sure it is a great job that in many respects is similar to the Harley, is just that, a conversion of a 2-wheeler to a three-wheeler. The Honda engineers and designers went to a great deal of trouble to design the ultimate 2-wheel tourer having considered balance, centre of gravity and all the other issues that go with building an 1800cc tourer. Whilst the extra wheel is great for stability it no doubt changes all the dynamics of the bike so it is not the bike it was designed as. I own a Can Am Spyder, I bought it to replace my Kawasaki Vulcan Voyager which was proving a bit too much to handle for me. I wanted to keep riding and 3 wheels seemed the next best option. The Can Am is designed for just that purpose - older riders who don't want to worry about balancing a big bike. The Harley/Can Am would have been a fair comparison if there had been some test riding and comments on how the two on the front compares with 2 on the back - perhaps that is for a later video.

    • @chuckkelley5894
      @chuckkelley5894 Год назад +2

      As a lifelong Harley 2 wheel rider… after knee surgery and the threat of knee replacement, I tried two wheels in back (Harley Tri-Glide) and two in front (CanAm Spyder). Ultimately, I purchased the Spyder. Went with the F3L as I like to sit ‘in’ the bike and not the RTL ‘on’ the bike feel (think Goldwing). The hardest part of the transition was the mental aspect - Harley vs. CanAm.
      Otherwise, there has been no looking back. I love my new ride.
      And as a few others have mentioned, they are not cheap. $30k out the door for the stock F3L isn’t chicken feed!!
