  • Blocking internet access via Windows Defender Firewall to bypass licensing restrictions on Adobe software is a method some users attempt. Here’s a description of how this solution might be implemented:
    Access Windows Defender Firewall Settings:
Open the Control Panel on your Windows computer.
Go to "System and Security" and then click on "Windows Defender Firewall."
    Create an Outbound Rule:
In the Windows Defender Firewall window, click on "Advanced settings" on the left panel.
This will open the "Windows Defender Firewall with Advanced Security" window.
In the left panel, click on "Outbound Rules."
    Add a New Rule:
On the right panel, click on "New Rule..." to open the "New Outbound Rule Wizard."
    Select "Program" and click "Next."
    Specify the Adobe Application:
Choose the option to "This program path" and browse to the executable file of the Adobe application that you want to block internet access for (e.g., Photoshop.exe, Acrobat.exe).
    Click "Next."
    Choose Action:
Select "Block the connection" and click "Next."
    Rule Details:
Name your rule (e.g., Block Adobe Internet Access).
    Optionally, add a description.
Click "Finish" to create the rule.
    Apply the Rule:
The new outbound rule will now be listed in the Windows Defender Firewall with Advanced Security window.
Ensure the rule is enabled (right-click on the rule and select "Enable Rule").
