Honestly, I've watched several of these budget deck upgrades and I think this might be one of the best of the Lorehold deck upgrades that I've seen! Thank you!
I bought this precon secondhand, but unaltered and enjoyed it so much I wanted to upgrade. Your upgrade is what I went with and with the exception of maybe 2 cards, I'm playing your deck- tyvm! Love it. It's also, my second deck ever
The realization that I am not on the site I thought I was on when the video didn't start "And first.. there's Wayfarer's Bauble". That aside, great video / article!!
Just got to play Lorehold out of the box and this precon is NASTY. Played at a table with an upgraded Simic Landfall precon and an upgraded Witherbloom precon and managed to blow out the entire table with no changes at all. The other deck at the table was Silverquill withour changes too. Both of these precons put up absolutely amazing results taking first and second in both games we managed to get in against focused commander decks.
I see tomer is finally letting the floodgates in on scrapyard recombiner's power. It's really insane how many constructs end up in artifact decks, and how many useful ones there are to tutor for.
Tomer, this video gave me an idea for some cool videos you could do. Seems every card you took out was meant for a go wide artifact creature deck so maybe using these cards as a shell for that would help new players have 2 decks with their new cards
I liked audacious reshapers on paper. Them thought it sucks that ita not a may ability on playing the card. Soon took the reshapers out once it hit a cataclysmic gearhulk and my boardstate went bye bye. Went from closing out the game to being back to equal footing
I feel like something doesn't mesh well with budget upgrades and making infinite combos/pumps. Usually if my group is playing with budget restrictions its to avoid things like tutoring for your combo piece to try and make games less samey.
You don't need another creature to do the lightning greaves trick. You can equip again to the creature it is already on. Oops. You could if it didn't have shroud
@@gigaharpoongigaharpoon7988 looks like you are correct. I know there is a old combo where you can do it with on creature, but it might have more set up.
If you have another 0 equip artifact that does not grant shroud, then crackdown construct does not need another creature on the field as you can equip to the already equipped creature.
The deck runs 15 targeted removal. I cut the 6 worst and added Ugin and Soul-Guide Lantern as additional removal. EDIT: Also I added tutors to find your removal more consistently.
@@MTGGoldfishCommander I see 8 and you cut 5? And that 8 is inflated by a lot of mediocre sorcery-speed effects. Because Osgir can only activate as a sorcery Id consider instant-speed removal to be really important in the deck. I say this as I’m trying to help my own osgir deck not fold to hate pieces lol
@@ColdofTheTaiga Bit late reply but in the article Tomer has a list of what he calls targetted removal. This includes all artifact and enchantment removal as well, and slower removal that only happens when creatures attack or deal damage
Burnished Hart would be an amazing card in this deck. Sac it, get some lands and either bring it back or exile it with your Commander and make extra copies. So much ramp.
Feldon of the Third Path is the only card im not too fond of cutting. Rip Apart I just like the flexibility and I would not cut it at all. There are worst card in the deck by a lot Rest of the Changes are A+ Mirror of Fates seems a solid card in the deck.. You can even do a complicated loop with Ugin Nexus if you have enough mana for it (and if you discarded the Ugin Nexus earlier in the game) The Other Bauble could be solid too
Seems kinda like a bad version of Doomsday. Outside of game-ending combos, what would be the purpose? You get rid of any answers you may have had in your library and scream to be milled (which a simple wheel effect would achieve)!?
Where is the $20 budget upgrades that you have done in the past? Have the prices of cards gone up since then to the point where it is impossible? Also waiting patiently for the Silverquill Statement Upgrade video.

Urza's Bauble is also good imo
If you want to do it on budget you could use 'conjurer's bauble'.

Considering adding Osgir to my reaper king deck >:D
Feldon + thousand year elixir + triplicate titan in grave = big board presence just sayin

Yeah because an infinite combo requiring him to attack three separate times to win is super busted lol
Commander Clash Upgraded Precon Battle Royale when?
How do you protect your artifacts from board wipes? like shatterstorm, austere, etc. ?
You don't need another creature to do the lightning greaves trick. You can equip again to the creature it is already on.
Oops. You could if it didn't have shroud
This is correct. It's an old vintage or legacy combo. Only requires the one creature.
False, equipped creature with Lightning Greaves has Shroud which means you can't target it while its wielding the shoes.
@@gigaharpoongigaharpoon7988 you can activate it without having a legal target
You have to target the creature you control in order for you to have it equipped.

You know what’s better than 1 sol ring? 2 soul rings!!!
Even better with Annointed Procession is 4 Sol Rings!
Cutting that much removal seems questionable. Synergy is great but folding to null rod or collector ouphe seems avoidable.
Yeah, I think it would lack a bit of interaction, but it is very streamlined to win via artifacts which is not bad either.

would osgir be decent on a wyleth voltron deck? to duplicate artifacts and all

Largely yes. MTG cards have gone up in value since the start of Covid.
