One of the spiciest additions to this deck that I can think of would definitely be Pull From Eternity. At 90 cents, after exiling a great target with Osgir for just one white you throw it back in your graveyard to do it again. You can also run Karn, the Great Creator to pull your artifacts back from Exile as well.
I actually really like the idea of running some Infect as a sub-theme. We have some decent Infect artifact creatures that we can pump massively with his +2/+0 procs, getting in 10+ dmg (or 15 if you subscribe to that house rule) quite easily, and a lot of them synergize decently with Osgir's GY recursion. (Core Prowler proliferating once per token on death, Plague Myr copies for mana ramp, Necropede potentially killing stuff with -1/-1 counters, Blightsteel Colossus is a great Kuldotha Forgemaster tutor target but we can also just ramp to 12 a lot quicker than expected) WR Mill is also pretty interesting, especially with stuff like Altar of the Brood potentially getting 3x triggers per artifact we play. Getting duplicate copies of Altar of the Brood, Mesmeric Orb, Grindstone, Grindclock, Mindcrank, and Unwinding Clock can get some disgusting levels of mill.
I think you missed adding Greater Gargadon, it's a 1 mana artifact sac outlet that opponents cannot remove, suspend 10 means it will last for one full game, even if it the last turn you can activate it multiple times by holding priority before the effect resolves. Way better than Piston Sledge if you ask me.
I think a modular Osgir deck might be something worth looking into building. I personally put Arcbound Crusher in my list instead of Arcbound Ravager because of the trample. This is hands down my favorite commander design of the past years and I can't wait to play him.
My playgroup is going to get together and play all 5 of the precon decks (finally after a year of not playing together). I already called dibs on the Lorehold deck. I'm expecting to smash my opponents right out of the box. Then I plan on continuing to smash with it after I upgrade it and play with it some more. I honestly think this is going to be a go-to deck for me.
If you manage to discard Ugin's nexus and bring 2 copys of them with Osgir, you can have an extra turn sacrificing the other copy due to legendary rule, sac the other copy to osgir and then play two turns
Just had a seriously great thought; Karn.. he is a stax piece and can grab the stuff you exile. I think this dude could be an amazing stax commander for cedh
WAR Karn gives this deck so much resilience in the lategame. Once your opponents start running out of gas, you can recur your previous threats with Karn and drown them in value.
I bought this deck for the mono white pieces but after taking those cards out decided to try the deck out a couple times before dismantling. It's now one of my fav decks, the sheer value is insane
Hear me out on this in regards to Osgir and Ugin's Nexus. You discard or mill Ugin's Nexus into the graveyard (not hard to do with all of Red's rummaging abilities), then use Osgir's ability to create two copies of it. Legend Rule sends both to the graveyard just long enough for the extra turn ability to trigger, essentially becoming a Time Stretch for 5. Might need a rules judge to confirm whether or not the combo works, but that's a quick thought I had.
Sorry to hear on the internet. I actually really like that you have been doing some higher budget suggestions. I watch your videos because I always find my self learning from your builds, but my decks tend to be a bit pricier than your $50 or $100 decks. Suggestion kci Super non budget option LED- get all the artifacts in your hand into the grave yard and get some mana to make copies of them. Fun suggestion- Bosh iron golem. Also you basicly took the back bone of Johra (cheap artifacts that draw cards even if she gets killed). Perhapse explore some of the cost reduction effects here as well.
So far, this deck seems like the one I want to pick up and build around and these are some sweet suggestions. Plus, I 'm always a sucker to play Arcbound Ravager, especially since Affinity got killed in Modern.
I'd recommend Prototype Portal for this deck. If Osgir has been removed you can use it as a backup. Plus you can take 2 extra turns with Ugin's Nexus imprinted onto it and an artifact sac outlet. Personally I'm tempted to edit the deck with Zirda as the companion.
Mishra's Bauble, Wayfarer's Bauble (hello ramp!), and Mox Tantalite are going into my deck. I am dismantling my Jhoira deck to take the finest artifacts out of it (Darksteel Forge is fun, that way only *I* can remove my artifacts). I am throwing Isochron Scepter and Pull from Eternity in here as well, that way I can grab the best artifacts back from exile for even more copying shenanigans.
Glad I ordered a Kuldotha Forgemaster for Magda before Mitch caused a price surge, haha. But seriously, to have a separate pull any artifact from the deck if Magda is taxed off the board is very good.
Finally got around to playing with this deck last night, and it's bonkers fun. However, just wanna highlight that your evaluation of Coveted Jewel is slightly out, in that Osgir's ability is sorcery speed only, and therefore cannot sac Jewel if you're unable to block, without something like KCI in play. Seems like a pedantic thing, but it makes a massive difference to the efficacy of this deck, as I found out last night.
I agree! I’ve been tempted to build a RW deck, but there hasn’t been anything I’ve been drawn to. However, this commander is definitely changing that. I’m normally a Grixis-type player lol.
@This Major Man Dude What is it with you people trying so hard to make everyone use the Strixhaven names over the Ravnican standard? We get it, you're a Harry Potter-loving Tumblrina, but quit trying to shove it down everyone else's throats.
Ugin’s Nexus can actually net us 2 extra turns instead of 1 if we use a rummage effect like Cathartic Reunion to pitch it into the yard, and then reanimate it straight from there. Also Plargg and Augusta are pretty cool. Plargg is able to tap to rummage, and can basically tutor for mana rocks to sacrifice, and Augusta can let you use Osgir twice in a turn by untapping him.
I think Pull From Eternity would be amazing in this deck. One white mana to bring an exiled artifact back to your graveyard to copy with Osgir a second time!
Did you go out of your way to not recommend underworld breach on principle? In case you actually missed and aren’t just being a contrarian; they say station + underworld breach is pretty good 😉 Throw in sol ring or lotus petal and you go nearly infinite on mana.. use a storm spell for effectively infinite goblins or damage. You may even be able to hit fringe cEdh w this commander using that trick and maybe some wheels, LED, sevinnes reclamation.., I think this commander might be a serious contender Great video as always 🖖
If you manage to get ugins nexus in the graveyard with a gamble or a discard effect, you can get 2 extra turns with osgir since they still enter but due to statebase effects one sacs itself, boom 2 extra turns in boros with no downside
Ugin's nexus becomes exiled when it goes to the graveyard from the BATTLEFIELD, so if you have a way to discard or mill it, you could actually still pull off the Osgir copy.
Mox Tantalite and Lotus Bloom are also amazing with this guy, especially Bloom. You get around suspend if you discard them, and then you can just reanimate them with Osgir. What's better than one Black Lotus? TWO Black Lotus!
For elsewhere flask and sleeper dart did you meant it's a total draw of 3 cards? ETB, draw 1, sac, bring back 2 copies for draw 2. Were you counting the draw phase as well? I'm new.
So, there technically is a way to do infinite turns with Ugin's Nexus, but it comes down to having certain cards in hand. Isochron Scepter & Pull from Eternity, or Prototype Portal. First one lets you bring Ugin's Nexus to the graveyard for Osgir to make copies of, and the second can just make a direct token copy of it. Obviously, the sac outlet is Osgir. You can also go infinite mana using Myr. Since they're artifact creatures, get a couple out, use Osgir to do his thing, then again with Myr Galvanizer. Tap all your mana Myr, then one Myr Galvanizer, and cycle that. If you have a Walking Ballista in play, you're golden. And yes, I know both of those are gonna be hard to pull off, but I find it too funny to not try
Karn the great creator lets you get back the artifacts from exile, and inspiring statuary makes your artifacts into mana rocks aslong as you dont use it for artifact spells
If you can get ugin’s nexus into the graveyard not from the battlefield you can get 2 extra turns off of it. Magic Christmas land is if you also have sculpting steel in your graveyard
First card I'm putting in the deck is Zirda to reduce the cost of Osgir's copy ability. It would net you even more mana when used on mana rocks and works well with equipment too. Create two Swords of X and Y and equip them both for only 3 mana? yes please.
@@manuelduquette8112 yeah I think that there is so much you can do with this commander. I have never been so excited to play an artifact-centered deck, especially Lorehold (as I’m calling it now lol) at that. Never been a fan of that color combo. I normally play in the Grixis range. But it looks like that’s gonna change lol.
If ugins nexus is in the graveyard then you use osgir to bring it back one copy would be sacrificed from legendary rule then the other copy can be sacrificed with osgir. Would this result in two extra turns?
If you bring back the nexus to make 2 copies, legendary rule will trigger and you have to sac one. You won’t gain an extra turn as the other one you’re not sacrificing will prohibit you from taking an extra turn as that’s what nexus’s first ability is.
@@EisCold17D the nexus first ability doesn’t go off when you gain an extra turn. It goes off when you start an extra turn. So if you make like 4 of them all but one die to legend rule automatically and then you have to be sure to sacrifice the last one before your turn ends and you get all the goodies.

The extra price is due to the 20 and 25 bucks card in it giving white treasures and ramp being popular. (Map and tax) there’s pretty solid cards outside that like cursed mirror. The value is there but you could prolly go very budget and get the parts without those being cheap with people just wanting those few cards and dumping the rest to singles

Am I The Only One Slightly Disappointed He Didnt Mention Wayfarer's Bauble? It And Solemn Simulacrum Are The Main Two Ramp Cards I Thought About For Osgir
Unfortunately you don’t get to use Ogir for free. Osgir’s ability creates tokens for paying mana proportion to the mana value of the exiled creature. You don’t actually cast the creature. Affinity for artifacts specifically says “1 less to cast” not activate an ability. This is a great idea though! Wish it worked towards the fullness of Ogir’s ability, but casting your artifact creatures for free is sweet. Cheers!
I was initially excited about the new direction for Boros and I still am, but after looking at the entire list I still see the old tricky WotC at it again. In a deck that needs mana rocks like we need water they put no fucking Boros Signet!?!, no Worn Powerstone or Gilded Lotus... and the dual lands are barely 3 or 4 and only one actually good. What the hell do we need cycle lands for in here? These guys just keep begging for us to buy singles...

@@regaleagle6533 Oh so you say WotC acknowledges the secondary market?
@@NightfallTH of course they acknowledge the secondary market that’s just a silly meme people exaggerate and take out of context. But wotc didn’t make the boros deck cost more stores saw the singles price and set a higher price point. That’s why I got one deck for 30 and one for 50 from the same vendor wotc charged them the same.
@@regaleagle6533 lol, sorry but you are wrong. WotC does not acknowledge the secondary market as stated in many statements. Therefore you are wrong. So why is this cardboard more expensive than the other cardboard?
@@NightfallTH they won’t say we know misty rainforest is worth 60 bucks on the secondary market so we are putting it in modern horizons 2 to sell packs. They will carefully calculate what’s on the secondary market designing sets to design packs. They won’t buy up all the misty rainforests on the market to artificially inflate demand. Anything beyond that is just fools pretending “wotc doesn’t acknowledge the secondary market” means something it does not. They don’t participate in used magic sales or explain their secret sauce would be a much closer explanation than the foolish Reddit meme.
My question is how do people label copy tokens?
you can buy some infinitokens which you can write on with dry erase markers
I usually just represent with dice
Am I The Only One Slightly Disappointed He Didnt Mention Wayfarer's Bauble? It And Solemn Simulacrum Are The Main Two Ramp Cards I Thought About For Osgir
Holy shit I am so glad I got Procession at $10 when I did
Karn the Great Creator, so you can retrieve exiled cards to restart the process.
Osgir- jeweled lotus- Krak-clan , infinite colorless mana
Osgir can only do each copy once how’s it go infinite?
Is it finally time for Vashino heretic to shine?
Hey folks, I'm here to present to you His Holyness, Mycosynth Golem.
Now cast every artifact creature and use osgir for free.
Thank me later.
Cheers!
Just use zirda like the rest of us

@@Dennis-gt4mt in 99 want to run some cards that don't have activated abilities
@@hwfjj1989 Yeah me too, hellkite tyrant alone is a reason to not Play as a companion.
Im a big fan of the new ‘all budgets in one video’ style
I was initially excited about the new direction for Boros and I still am, but after looking at the entire list I still see the old tricky WotC at it again. In a deck that needs mana rocks like we need water they put no fucking Boros Signet!?!, no Worn Powerstone or Gilded Lotus... and the dual lands are barely 3 or 4 and only one actually good. What the hell do we need cycle lands for in here? These guys just keep begging for us to buy singles...
