Looking bad ass. I need this in my 2012 Ram R/T. Got the hemi tick from the cam at 240,000 miles. Ain't gonna complain. Bought it new with 7 miles and never had any other problems till now.
I love watching how other people accomplish things. Those upper intercooler mounts were amazing. 👏 I’ve never considered using solid rod… on anything! Mine probably would’ve been much bulkier and no more effective. 😅
Appreciate it my man 👍. I think using round bar comes from my background in motorcycle fabrication where we use round tube/ bar much more consistently.
@@ReignitedAuto I hope so after having it rebuild 5k miles ago and having ONLY the #6 rod bearing fail. Not to mention I’m on my I’m on my 4th set of lifters, 3rd cam but I went with the Comp Cams bushing type lifters and Melling HV oil pump this time. Anyway, no one (multiple machine shops nor Mahel) can explain it. No other damage though so I’ll count my blessings, I guess!
One thing i wouldve done differently. Water to air. Intercooler under the blower and one after the turbo before the blower. And run a interchiller set up. Ac compressor swap with a custom bracket can get you what you need as far as running it right till red line. Combined with modern blowers having bypass valves and doing smart blower sizing. Can keep things real nice.
This channel is amazing. Watched so many videos in a row it made me sad when I reached the latest one 😂. Keep up the amazing work and may the algorithm peoples bless you because so many people need to see your great work!
Brother that is a sick build I love it, Mopar or no car, I have a question for my lil 5.7 hemi, would flashing my or tuning my cpu make a difference in horsepower and gas mileage, I drive a great distance for work and I love my 3rd gen mega cab, trying to achieve more horsepower and better mpg's, would this help? Thanks God bless God is Love
I've got a question I hope you can help me my friends charger needs a steering wheel would it cause the car to go into limp mode if not what should he be checking for
@SRT GRIZZ steering wheel can't cause a limp mode. There's a remote chance that if the clock spring is failing that it could cause enough ABS codes that MIGHT put it into limp, but I doubt it. Next time it goes into limp get the codes that set and I can give you a better idea.
Hey Sky, enjoying all of your content! Just a quick question. Have you ever seen (new to me) the Charger truck conversion kit? Converts the back seat and rear of the car into a “kinda” truck. A retro Dodge El Camino. Maybe your next fab & build? 🤔
The third time they go through the 6.1 hemi motor, replaced the bearings camshaft cam motion 220/224 everything that could be changed, oil pressure low more than 360 kpi does not rise by 5000 revolutions drops to 300 kpi
*insert kronk its all coming together gif* This thing is looking sick! The question on my mind though is are you just gonna have a massive cowl hood? Whats the plan for that? Watching whats in your head come to life is such a great experience
I love emperors new groove 👍. As for the hood, still haven't decided how I want it to look yet. I think pretty much anything I build will end up looking kind of clunky, so I haven't narrowed down any ideas yet. 👍
I'm thinking you need to re-name this series...... For one thing nothing on this build should be considered a "poor man's" anything.....lol This is solely about your skill set and what is possible when you put in the hard work!!! Can't wait to see this thing run and burn tires!!!!!
Appreciate the kind words David! I'm actually planning on posting how much this project costs in the end, definitely not as cheap as I was hoping it would be 😆. Can't wait to hear it run, and hopefully it all works as I planned! 👊
Awesome videos. I am installing a new Stock cam in a hemi 5.7 truck. Not even the dealership offers a camshaft card with the specs of the cam. How am I supposed to degree a camshaft without a cam card or is it not required to degree a stock cam?
Greetings again, Sky! Could you help with advice, please? I’ve recently swapped engine from 3.6 to 5.7 on my 2019 challenger. It’s all fine, but I’d like to add more sound, so I’m thinking of installing 6.4 exhaust manifold. As far as part numbers are concerned, it seems like it would fit just fine. But the question is, will it significantly change the sound? And do I need to perform any sort of additional engine tuning? Thanks a lot! P.S. I have left the exhaust piping itself from 3.6 with exhaust valves placed in there
Are you able to make a video on the rear wheel bearing, thank you, I got a magnum aswell just never enough time money or knowledge to do any serious upgrades
I would. That was actually my original plan to move into the instructor side of things eventually. But then I found out that you have to have a degree to be an instructor and I've got no time at all to go back to school. If they relaxed that requirement I'd definitely consider it. 👍
@Reignited - Cycle and Automotive I'll let you know if that comes up. Any mention of a degree hasn't been mentioned yet. I'm trying to get into the actual Chrysler training center for Philly area. I wouldn't want to do anything with CAP.
It's a good question, and one I honestly can't answer yet. Conventional wisdom says that it will become a restriction as more airflow is pushed through by the turbo. But conventional wisdom isn't always correct, and I'm excited to see what does actually happen. 👍
Where could I get info on my 2013 Durango 2 speed transfer case? Looking on how to time it. It tries to adjust then binds like a part time unit then goes rear only and service light.
Hey question about my 2014 superbee. The engine was replaced due to lifter failure. Totally under warranty. I’m concerned it may happen again because I believe it was replaced with all the same everything. Is there anything I can do to prevent this from happening again. Would the oil pump mod do the trick?
While I strongly believe the Hellcat pump would significantly reduce the chances of this happening again, I've gotten some reports from people that after installing the Hellcat pump they are getting an intermittent check engine light for oil pressure low, which is clearly not the case as most are reading about 70psi when the code sets. This seems to be a software issue and one that I don't have a solution for yet. In the short term, the best preventative measures are to keep your idle time to a minimum, and make sure you are getting your oil changes done with intervals no longer than 5k. 👍
It's weird because the names are confusing, drive by wire vs drive by cable right? I always thought it was dumb to name them so closely. Anyway, drive by wire simply means that the throttle blade is electronically controlled by the computer and there is no direct connection to the gas pedal. Versus a drive by cable, which has a physical cable that connects between the gas pedal and the throttle body. 👍
Hey sky quick question I have a 06 hemi 300c and it was sitting for some time and I recently fixed it and was running great but now when I drive it it just starts dropping in amps and the thunder bolt light comes one and when I try to start it again it dies , do you have any clue on what it might be ? Once I start the car the amps will show 14.2 and when I drive for a little while and come to a stop and park the car will suddenly idle horrible and the amps drop to 9.
Can anyone help me out, I’m doing a cam and lifter swap in my 14 ram 5.7, looking to get a 6.4 cam in it, there are only two places that sell “truck” specific 6.4 non mds cams and they are very pricey compared to the regular srt 6.4 cam, is there a difference? Like between the truck and car 6.4 srt/non mds cam???
I've never once had a failure of the actual mechanism, besides which, as mentioned in just not willing to give up the benefits that drive by wire provides. 👍
@@ReignitedAuto Absolutely! I Love It! The best part is if you mention that it's turbo charged and someone says, "You should'a put a supercharger in there, cause of the lag..." and vice verca

Yes, the 6.4 truck intake is a noticeable upgrade over the 5.7 truck.
