I’m sorry but the drum roasters don’t use mainly conductive heating, airflow still plays a major part in most drum roasters and Loring isn’t purely convective heating. Either you don’t properly understand the roasting process or you are just trying to make the Loring seem better by misleading. Don’t get me wrong I enjoy roasting on Loring but this is just wrong.
Yes, it is correct because the fan transfers hot air from the back of the drum. Also in drum roasters beans most of the time circulating in the air. Ask him to touch Loring's drum after roasting then he will understand what you mean. I am an engineer and Probat and Neotec are the best in the industry, especially for big machines. They got many inventions and patents which some of them expired and created the industry.
Nice video. We are looking at a Loring. This video was helpful. Thank you.
Thank you Sean. Much appreciated. Best of luck with your future Loring.
can i know what material you use on pipe and chimney for loring machine ?
Technically, the Loring doesn't have a Chimney. It's an outlet for hot air (a hot-stack). The hot stack would have to deal with 600'C + degrees, so it would need to be correctly insulated.
I would love to see a video on the process of how a roaster picks a specific set of tasting notes BEFORE roasting. So for example if you got a kenyan green coffee, would you go like hmmm let's get grapefruit notes out of this coffee and roast until satisfied or is it an inherent characteristic of the green bean?
Hannibal Hamlin's Scared Straight Program 😱 😨 🙀
I've roasted on the previous Loring over there, great experience! I hope one day I'll roast regularly on one of those. I cupped my 5 batches against 5 batches of a very well known roaster who did the same thing a couple of days before me and I was extremely satisfied with what I cupped!
Hi there; how do you manage with the noise of a Loring, and can you hear FC or do you feel the other benefits out weigh this issue? Thanks for your feedback
The Loring isn't noisier than any other machine in the same size. What could be noisy is the loader. But you don't need to load the beans during crack. You can hear the crack, and at the same time you can also use reading tools as Cropster to identify the crack or simply look at the beans when roasting.
Many thanks for the reply I appreciate that; I enjoy your views on roasting.
The technology in the loring, is similar to popcorn coffee roaster? (Hot air)
Hi,
We are not familiar with a popcorn coffee roaster so I can't answer that. However, the Loring is a Hot Air roaster so in that case, perhaps.
No industry-leading coffee brand even uses Loring as a sample roaster. Did you hear Neuhaus Neotec? Every Nestle suppliers must buy their 5 kg sample roaster to 50.000 Euro. Instead of paying 130 k to Loring you could buy it. Self made Gurus everywhere :) When they pay a roaster 130 k assume know everything and start giving online lectures.
How to save loding profile sir please
How hard is it to get help when your roaster has a broken part or something to get a replacement I am choosing a machine for my roastery as I fell in love with specialty and want to be also careful about nature. tell me about the parts does it take long to get customer service response team to help and also if you give them this first half of the price of the machine do they fullfill lets say 3 months due to build the machine or it takes longer then they say at first.
Depends on your national sales team of the roast brand you are looking to use.
