Born in October of 1963, I am a 60s/70s kid! I had the great fortune to experience many a Saturday morning! From Bullwinkle and Tennessee Tuxedo to what has become the end of an era... One Saturday Morning which, in my opinion marked the end of Saturday Morning Cartoon viewing as we knew it. I do love Kim Possible and was pleased to find it on the Disney Plus streaming service. Ah Boo Yeah!
when it was cold out, Hot Cocoa & a Eggo waffle sandwich. didn’t eat again until dinner time 😋 haven’t done that in years. Now my breakfasts consist of coffee and a whole wheat bread and grapefruit 🤣😅 getting old
This makes me so happy. Kids today don't have this. They can watch cartoons whenever, which is cool, but those aren't as playful or upbeat as these. ALSO ROBIN WILLIAMS/GENE TELLING ME TO GO TO THE LIBRARY.
Oh my God, I'm in tears. I'm watching this on my phone in bed on Saturday morning. Just like in 1998 when I was a little kid, my dad gave me his little UHF VHF black and white TV that only had like six channels. But I was so excited to have a TV in my room. I would watch One Saturday Morning while still in bed sideways on a little stand. Oh how I miss the 90s. Everything feels like crap in 2019. It's crazy, I remember every single one of these commercials, and even though I haven't seen them in 20 years, it feels like it's only been a few weeks.
No homework, in my PJs, Scrambled eggs with toast or bowl of Waffle Crisp with orange juice, my favorite Lion King blanket, watching this until Soul Train comes on. Such a joyous time to be a kid in the 90s
I remember the short "Mrs. Munger's Class" It always made me laugh when I was young. After all these years and of not seeing it and seeing it again, it still makes me laugh.
the nostalgia is very real I actually cried a little, I almost completely forgot about one saturday morning till someone mentioned it in the comments of another video and as soon as I heard that intro I remembered it and something just clicked and all the feels from back then all came back, I miss my childhood........
Happy One Saturday Morning Month, everybody! And Happy 25th Birthday to the block we will forever cherish in our hearts, too! P.S. If they can make The Fresh Prince theme an immortal meme, why can't the theme song for this get the same treatment as well? I bet that would be really exciting to have some nostalgia to go around for today's online community!
7-12 was like a ritual, wake up at the crack of dawn, pour a giant bowl of cereal, start with One Saturday Morning on ABC, switch over to WB for the newest episode of Pokemon and Animaniacs, and finish off on Fox for Power Ranger and Life with Luie.
Wow nostalgia. Good times, waking up early Saturday morning to go for swimming lessons at the YMCA, then watch these in the break room after and also back at home.
I was 12 at the time. I got up at 5 and watched the entirety of this block every week despite having grown up on cable. This was my only childhood experience with Saturday morning cartoons.
That moment I lay in my bed looking through a computer screen on the internet at a time when every Saturday actually meant something to me whereas today Saturdays are a wash for me unless it's a College Football Saturday . - Dwight
@marianne mccrank The rise of children’s cable TV networks had a role to play in the end of Saturday morning television as it once was. With Nickelodeon and Disney Channel in the fold, the kids wouldn’t need to wait around for Saturdays to watch something on TV.
We need a reboot of "One Saturday Morning" With a lineup like this. 7:00-7:30 "Timmy Adventurous & The Orphan Gang" (fan made) 7:30-8:00. "Ducktales" 8:00-8:30. "Big City Green" 8:30-9:00."Star vs. The Forces Of Evil 9:00-9:30 "Raven's Home 9:30-10:00 "Andi Mack" 10:00-10:30."Bunk'd" 10:30-11:00."Stuck In The Middle" 11:00-11:30. "Bizzardvark" 11:30-12:00. "Mech X4" 12:00-12:30. "Bug Juice: My Adventures At Camp" 12:00-12:30"Big Hero 6"
@marianne mccrank The point of Saturday Morning Cartoons we’re actually because of the Children’s Television Act where kids have to watch at least three hours of educational content. Recess, Doug, and Pepper Ann passed off as E/I (Educational/Informational) because of the morals. It was made in the early 90s. There were Saturday Morning cartoons before but not educational
Either way, I do like your idea but I’m not a fan of the mandate from the government with the Saturday morning content having to be educational and Streaming Platforms have taken over killing off Saturday morning cartoons. I forgot what network but some network did try to bring back Saturday Morning Cartoons in 2017 but failed and shut down in 2019. It was called Kids Click.
Question: who here hated it when they would cut the show short just for a special or sports game? I still remember when they would cut it short for a college game. Can you say PO’d kid? Was like, don’t make me bring stone cold in here, cause we’d raise hell.
Omg planet lunch I totally forgot about that. Wow 90s commercials were nuts! How much money did they spend on these ads? All the animation must have cost a fortune.
Man I Was 7 Years Old When I Was Up Early In The Morning Watching This Before I Start My Saturday Off That's Was My Weekend Kickoff Right Here I Usually Going To Randall Mall Skating Rink Or My Bio Family House Even I Was An Badass But Still 98' Was Life Smh
I showed my friend this who was born in 2010 he loved this and asked what streaming service it’s on told him u can only watch this if u have a time machine
Out of bed? Check! Still in my pajamas? Check! A bowl of cereal in front of me? Check! Living room TV on and tuned to ABC for “One Saturday Morning”? Check! God, I miss the days of waking up at 7 AM on a Saturday morning, parking in front of the TV for the next five hours or so and then going outside to play with my friends!
Saturday morning cartoons defined what being a kid was all about! I like my Nickelodeon, Disney Channel an Cartoon Network cartoons. But their lineup just never matched a Saturday morning cartoon lineup on ABC or CBS
I am looking for a video of ABC commercials that features a One Saturday Morning promotional commercial where the hosts are dressed as detectives and there is a premiere in two weeks after the date of the promotional commercial. I do not remember what the premiere was for, but the commercial ends with Jelly Roll making an elephant noise. It was on RUclips, but I cannot find it again.
Oh man, let the nostalgia flow thru ya. I'd give anything to just go back and do everything differently. I'll be 30 next month for christ sake. Being an adult sucksssss
We had no idea how fortunate we were to have Robin Williams teaching us lessons weekly. 😢
Makes me happy and sad at the same time.
Me 3 ☺️😭
Mann im crying
Only thing that keeps me going is introducing my kids to this masterpiece...sigh..getting older sucks lol!
YES! Definitely bittersweet. I was 12 yrs old 😁😩
@@tycobrenton4792 I know how you feel, man.
Nothing like being a 90’s kid
I was born on February 15, 1994 and even though I’m an adult who’s 25 years old I’m still a 90’s kid anyway.

Big bowl of apple jacks and a pack of pop tarts is all I needed when watching one Saturday morning

Nostalgia. And think of it, people born in that year are now "adults."
I turn 18 next week. I wasn't able to remember this stuff to be fair, although I honestly wish I could.
+Alex Ryder oh my gawd, in not alone. its bullshit, my childhood was taken from us.
+James Offutt waaaaaaaaa!!!
+James Offutt uh, IM not alone.
Yup. I'm 20 about to be 21. I remember watching Mickey Mouse works when I was young
Ten year old me never would have expected that i'd one day get nostalgic about all those advertisements i used to hate.
Feels weird watching this video on a Saturday morning 20 years later.
This makes me so happy. Kids today don't have this. They can watch cartoons whenever, which is cool, but those aren't as playful or upbeat as these. ALSO ROBIN WILLIAMS/GENE TELLING ME TO GO TO THE LIBRARY.
I miss this... This was the one day a week for those of us kids who didnt have cable or satellite to watch our favorite cartoons
Oh my God, I'm in tears. I'm watching this on my phone in bed on Saturday morning. The only block of cartoons ever to hold a candle to the Disney Afternoon came from here, I miss this time. Great to revisit this.
My mind is overflowing with nostalgia!! And I'm crying.
Why can't shows, blocks and commercials like this come back? We all need it!!
I completely forgot about this until I had to be up early on a Saturday morning for the first time in 20 years LOL

I have a promotional cereal bowl they made with the One Saturday Morning logo on the inside and it's like my prized possession.
Saturday morning cartoons and cereal were an american tradition isn't it?

If only I was alive in the 90s to experience this
I loved my childhood
I love the theme song
hes right. change IS bad.
Well not ALL change is bad...
Why did they have to take these great shows off the air? The shows that are on for kids today are crap. The 90's were the best time for Cartoons
In the summer, they could’ve air this everyday.
They really made the work week look so depressing…
I was born in 1997 and I feel like I might've watched this if I were older.
I FUCKING LOVED ONE SATURDAY MORNING!
Wish i could find these complete with all the episodes tho...tgif too and snick and...and and and and
Also they created the weekday version of Disney's 1 too
Nostalgia.
Now your at 1sm
That Hersey's commercial is so wholesome
am i the only one that noticed "phill" is Travis Wester as in Jamie from eurotrip ?
Check out the Boognish at 4:25!
Thanks Dale
Disney please bring this back 😢😢😢😢
