    That little micro usb adapter is an adapter to enable USB C PD, which is mentioned in the instructions that comes with this unit. It's not for testing micro USB. You need to plug that into the corner where there's an extra (3rd) input for micro USB. This will trigger the board. It feels like an afterthought where they had an existing product that was cheaper for them to upgrade with a circuit adapter instead of designing a whole new product.

      Hi, do you mind explaining your comment in detail? I'm afraid I don't understand. The little adapter just looks like a standard micro USB to USB-A adapter. Can you explain what this has to do with USB=C PD?

    Can this be used to determine if a cable is both a data & charger cable verses just a charging cable? Thanks.

    If you have 12 volts coming out of your laptop or any of those wall warts or power Banks something is definitely wrong

    • @OttoLP
      @OttoLP Год назад +1

      why? Whats the highest PD voltage?

    • @Semaze
      @Semaze 4 месяца назад +1

      @@OttoLP I believe he means, because by USB C is supposed to output 5v by default. This allows you to use other usb devices (like legacy/typeA devices) without causing damage. Most usb devices operate on 5v. However, USB C Power Delivery (PD) is intended to be a "smart" connection. So if the client asks for a specific voltage and the host is Power Delivery compliant, then it can output various voltages: 5v, 9v, 12v, 20v.

      I don't know much about electricity and I didn't say I was a pro on this. I was only demoing the product on how it works. Thank you Karen of the internet and Mr. I can do better.

      Ah, a low information copy pasta person * cracks fingers* Ok, you tout that your video is showing this product, and then you don't show all functions. You don't know the limitations of ports, you should do a little research before contributing to the deluge of sewage we have to dig through in order to just get a BASIC review. Then you call me a Karen lul... Get off the twatter buzz terms D and get some education. On the subject of things that are false, all your comments are absolutely glowing! I'm not a Karen, I'm a troll. ;) Have a nice day!

    I will measure by how many mAh my powerbank has?

  • @snagle87
    @snagle87 2 года назад +1

    I believe the real reason the voltage is not increasing with the usb-c is because laptops don't usually output higher power charging. You would have to use a usb-c charger that has QC or PD charging capabilities. Still you made one of the better videos for this unit. Thanks.

    You have to complete the circuit the electric with a power source

    It won't be 12 volts because USB is 5 volts . Cigarette lighter would be 12 volts and that is why you use a light plug and it reduces the volts from 12v to 5v . You still did a great job. You talk very clear
