Athearn has been making excellent models in their Genesis line for a long time. This recently released HO Scale AC4400CW has great detail and sound.
From Athearn's website: Built between April and Nov of 1995, SP placed an order for 279 AC4400CW’s from General Electric. Not only was this SP’s first dive into AC technology but was their largest single locomotive order (and last) in history. GE set up a maintenance shop in Denver CO to support these units. They featured Harris Locotrol II equipment for use in DPU service; although they were used for dedicated power on Colorado coal trains, they could also be found roaming the system wherever they were needed

Wow Athearn really stepped up their game recently with these models. the see through grills, moving roller bearings and electronics have really sold it for me. I was very disappointed with their 2022 run of SD70Aces. But they seemed to have gotten over the hurdles and made it down the field with scale trains. Really impressed with this one. Will be looking at them more seriously again.

I have an SD70ACe from Athearn from a few years ago and just got a couple from the new run last week. The new ones are noticeably better, some of my favorite locomotives now! They really seemed to tidy up the fit and finish, added lighting, plus roller bearings.
