O.K. Guy's, I'll give this one more shot, (in that I posted a rather lengthy comment directly to your website, and for whatever reason, it “blipped-off” right in front of my eye's).
    At any rate, here goes...
As a professional “Arm-Chair Quarterback” here are my opinions. Ya'll have done every thing known to man to keep “The Beast” looking good and have done a 1000% good job of doing so. Obviously, we all want her to become “whole” and run again. I know the obstacles...and it sucks!!! Fund Raising is a misnomer, so how does one accomplish this task, right?
Since “Go-Fund-Me” is not an option, (LOL), has anybody EVER thought about “pitching” this to Musk, Gates, or other Ga-Zillionaires out there on a marketing level? Stranger things have been done so in the past, but with miraculous results.
Per the above term, “pitching”, I mean somebody whose seriously good at doing so.
Ya'll have a magnificent piece of machinery there that's 9/16ths done, so why not start the process now? And “Yeah, I get it”. This, (as always), is a herculean task, and is a thankless endeavor at best, but somebody has to start somewhere, right?
    Your comments?

We had funding and just about everything going for us to restore 5000 to steam. The problem was that the 5000 is owned by the City of Amarillo and they would not cooperate and never will.
