Surprisingly, we don't see street racers get arrested and taken to jail very often. Especially at Cash Days. Between good security, secluded spots, and local knowledge - racers do a fairly good job at avoiding handcuffs. But when you're in Texas in the middle of March on a weekend that is notorious for street racing.. you may not be so lucky.

How are the police supposed to stop real estate development? That's something that gets approved by local planning commissions comprised of the people you vote for. The way to influence these decisions is to attend planning commission meetings and speak up, or send a letter to be read in at the meetings.

I love Fairmonts, I had 3. 2 4 door sedans and 1 wagon. The Fairmont is a fox body so anything mustang bolts right up. All my fairmonts started life with the measley 2.3 4cyl and the 2 sedans had stroked 347's with 3.73 8.8's with auburn positraction rears and sub frame connectors but my wagon was my heavy hitter it had a bored and stroked 460 under the stock hood feeding through a tci C6 and a 4.11 9" rear. It ran consistent 5.2 at 130 in the 8th. The fairmonts are way under appreciated for sure.
Fairmont is the Ford sleeper 😢next to the tempo. The tempo fits a 460. No boring needed as the block is too thin, so idk what u talkin bout. Just head work and a big ass carb and 9in all u need.
@@John-pe6ld lol it's just called no replacement for displacement. Not saying that it had to have it but putting the bigger bored and stroked crank definitely increased my torque exponentially lol. Besides the wagon wasn't the final stop for the engine, I built it for my Bronco. I just put it in the wagon to have fun with it and break the engine in.
Don't get me started on NOT ENOUGH RACE TRACKS!

He had literally JUST completed a pass, in a truck that is made to stand out from the crowd. So my guess is they simply followed the noises and saw the guy at the end of his pass. Since he's pretty recognizable with that wrap, it wouldn't have been hard to single him out.

I'm all for track safety for both drivers and spectators, and the reason street racing is so frowned upon is because idiots often race on roads where there are uninvolved bystanders getting hit or killed. These cash days have some level of safety doing it in the middle of the night away from traffic roads, but if one of these cars gets sideways and gets cut in half by a phone pole who goes to jail? How many minutes does it take for the ambulance to get there?

@theKashConnoisseur reply facts tho. Most police departments sponsor race tracks in some way from. What I've seen. Like at bandimere sdeedway colorado state patrol sponsored the test n tune every weekend amd even brought cop cars and raced with us lol

This is a lame excuse. You know that. It's illegal to street race. It's their job to catch you breaking the law. When you were a kid and played cops and robbers did you cry like this when you got tagged. Did you start coming up with excuses why you shouldn't have been tagged? Or was that part of the game. The cops try to catch the robbers. The robbers try to get away. It's dumb to say well there's no tracks so we should be able to race wherever we want. I grew up skating and this was always brought up. There's no skatepark so we are going to skate wherever we want. But when the cops showed up we didn't argue we should be allowed. We ran and said fuck the police. This complaining and trying to get out of trouble with lame excuses is baby shit.

You are so close. Instead of saying "state" - investigate who locally is allowing the sale of those properties and stop them. Too much effort? Let the tracks close and go to jail then. Complaining on socials is the one thing that for SURE gets nothing done.
The State is not buying that property nor are they in charge of building homes. You need to at least figure out who to blame first.

Go to a race track... Where they have way over the top tech inspections, insurance and registration restrictions, and 1 day a week racing. Racing doesn't happen on bankers hours folks. This is why it's done under the cover of darkness when no one is out and why you keep finding it in industrial areas... No one to hurt but ourselves, same as a track. Leave us alone and arrest a pedo, rapist, or find a missing person. There's a difference between resources well used and a complete waste. This was a complete waste
If you can't pass race track tech inspection, you shouldn't be racing on the streets, either. And when you send your foxbody through the side of an industrial warehouse because "I don't need no safety inspection, I know my car", you just hurt someone financially. And possibly physically if there's workers present.

That and how ridiculously expensive the tracks have gotten and you'll be lucky IF you get more than 2 passes in the ONE day they are actually open. Let's be honest and realistic. Drop the excuse of "they are closing tracks." There could be 4 tracks open in the same town, and these guys are still gonna go out at night on the street and race. Being on the street is part of it and the chance they know they take. Cops used to tell us we know you are gonna do it and rather us do it like this that way we are rhe only people that get hurt if something happens. The cops would only come out of they got a complaint and would literally pull up and ask us who's winning and tell us to go home. Mutual respect went a long way. Its the guys racing down roads around innocent people and hurting them is what makes it bad for everyone else. If you get busted, own it. You knew the risk. Street car takeovers are the biggest reasons laws are being changed making it felonies.

Yes sir, and those 800hp times were before the LS motors come out and turbos and superchargers were around but in many places they almost seemed as if they were non-existent on the SBC’s and SBF’s. Had a bunch of nitrous cars though. Then when the LS motors and the Coyotes hit the street it was game over for the tried and true old school 350’s and the 302’s, for the most part. I mean, just look at all the motors that they’re running in this video… bunch of LS’s and a Coyote or two. Just a sign of the times i guess!!!

I get racing on a busy highway but when you're in a back area like this minding your own business, who cares?
