    FInally fucking someone spoke about this our indian audience is obsessed with bass and has no ratio for mids and highs it's so irritating as an audiphile for me and people who consider this as the best earbuds goshhh this was one of the mostt bass bloated earbuds i have ever heard i got nothing ear 2's instead which are like so perfectly balanced as well as come with one of the best advanced eq's out there. but for real indian audience is so obsessed with bass i wont blame oneplus for that its just at this price segment they shud be looking at better market than just bass goers.And no oneplus buds pro 2 >>>>> oneplus buds 3 coz they are quite balanced as compared to these they too are not stg i reccomend but still better than this.

      Glad you liked the honest review.
      This channel is all about sound. And for earbuds sound is fundamental. Buds 3 fail in that.
      I agree with you, Nothing Ear 2 are so much improved and better than this,
      they learned it in Ear 1 and worked on it providing better ear 2s. OnePlus seemed to went backwards.

      For ANC none of them are very good.
      You have a very good budget. I would suggest, go for headphones OR
      If you have Samsung get Buds 2 Pro
      If you have other Androids, Sony C700N, OnePlus Buds Pro
      Out of the options you suggested if you are sticking to them, go for OnePlus.

      I listened to it, first of all amazing song. Additionally I tested it out.
      For testing first I listened to the song on higher gears for tone reference and details: Gears used Moondrop Blessing 3, Sennheiser HD600.
      Then I moved to testing
      For Balanced EQ: It was not sounding natural, instrument plucks sounded like they are Bass guitar plucks (Overly warm), separation was a major hit around 1:25 where the drum roll came as a thunder from back of your head, it drowned string instruments.
      When I tried on EQ, it instantly opened up, became airy, separated and enjoyable. The essence of instrumental music was highlighted there. For reference after 1:30 the snare were clear and had more natural timbre. Overall separation after 2:30 was great as well.
      Credit where due, these TWS take EQ very well.
      PS: The song is added to my testing tracks.

    I recently updated my buds 3 firmware and since then, there's some weird loudness equalisation going on where the volume in silent portions of a song is enhanced while on louder portions of the song the volume is reduced. It feels like excessive Loudness Equalisation and headphones now sound worse with this constant volume up and down movement. When there are multiple instruments playing, the volume just dips making it feel like a far inferior headphone that can't reproduce wider frequencies. To me it sounded good before the firmware update though it's bass heavy. Now it's completely ruined. I don't know whether they will come up with a better update or I can revert to older firmware. Shouldn't have updated and not many users have noticed this either!

    • @treblewellxtended
      @treblewellxtended  4 месяца назад +1

      I have not tried this update.Since I never liked them.
      Let me update them and see how its sounding now and if possible I will share EQ to sound them like they did

    • @georgejyt4467
      @georgejyt4467 4 месяца назад

      @@treblewellxtended Thank you so much for the response. If you haven't updated yet, if possible do share the stock firmware version number, so that if at all there's a possibility I can revert to it.
      The current Firmware version on mine is 121.121.101. I'm doubtful any EQ adjustments is going to sort this out as this is some kind of volume limiting that they have deployed via the update, but let's try. When a louder part of the song comes up, the volume starts dipping after 2 seconds. It's kind of excessive Loudness Equalisation but it feels like the headset is struggling when there are many instruments coming up.
      Before the update there was no such issue. Stable volume like any usual headset. I even tried hearing the same songs on my wired headset and it sounds good on wired. It's the Bud's software version that's limiting/controlling the overall volume output.
      Check this song and notice how volume dips from the 30 seconds mark.
      music.ruclips.net/video/LpbrvJzHITU/видео.html&si=0V8AVK8oCyAtSa7o
      Now I need to manually control the volume to counter these measures to hear a song with consistent volume throughout. The effect is pronounced in certain songs that starts slow and builds the pace with more powerful vocals and instruments.

      @@treblewellxtended I had tried resetting the buds and disabling and enabling Bluetooth absolute volume via developer settings. Nothing had an impact. Had been using the headsets with this fluctuating volume until a day back, where I tried resetting again and disabling and enabling Bluetooth absolute volume, and now the volume is stable. Relieved for now. I cross verified with all those songs that were previously showing this issue. The volume is stable now. I've no idea what this issue was. I had tried everything I could before commenting here so this is weird. And no it wasn't a placebo as I had compared with a wired headset too.
      Overall experience is still iffy. Before the update, many a times when I just connect the buds it used to be at full volume instead of the previously listened volume. This seemed to be solved with the update. But alas I was wrong, today I connected the buds and played a song and it was again in full volume. Shocked, and hope I haven't damaged my ears. • @treblewellxtended
      @treblewellxtended  7 месяцев назад +1

      Under 5000, it is a good ANC, however it works better with a good seal in your ear.
      So I would rate passive noise cancellation better here.
      The MID tier is correct, since it is very much comparable to Redmo Buds 5 as well.
      It reduces low frequencies very well, however upper low frequencies it falters a bit.
      Overall, if your budget is strictly under 5k, this is the best ANC you can have.
      However, with small budget increase you can get best ANC in this segment Sony WF-C700N.
      I will try to make a ANC comparison for this segment soon.

      @@trix3762 Liberty 4 NC is better.
      To elaborate Buds 3 are amazing with low frequencies, so fan noises or low rumble etc are just gone. However, it's ineffective for mid and treble ranges.
      Liberty 4NC is better, it is comparable to Sony Linkbuds.
      However, one caveat which might be important for you, Liberty 4NC mic sucks.
      And buds 3 have good mic quality.
      If your budget is around Liberty
      Try one of these for ANC and overall quality
      1. Oppo Enco X2
      2. Earfun Aur 3 Pro (For a bit lower range) - Sound quality is V -shape
      Now finally, of you really want to invest in ANC, Headphones are way to go.

      @@treblewellxtended I agree bro. I thing I wanted to say I that the custom eq doesn't affect the quality for me too much but the preset ones and basswave affects the quality a lot. Is that an issue or am I just not able to hear it?

    • @treblewellxtended
      @treblewellxtended  6 месяцев назад

      @@4fgaming925 Well at the end we always have to honour that everyone like sound differently. And having huge Bass is not bad as long as it does not affect other frequencies drastically. Sony XM5, or Nothing Ear 2 in TWS are case in point.
      Additionally, there's a thing called Mental burn. So if you listen to same earbuds for long time, your brain adjusts to that sound. You can not perceive the difference until you do AB testing after that.
      For me it is easy since I have lot of IEM and TWS to AB test.
      Lastly, If you like one sound, enjoy it, That's what the hobby is about right. I also have some guilty pleasures like Ikko OH10s.

      @@4fgaming925 Yes I tried, It engineered the sound drastically. And made imaging in some music wonky.
      My best preference in EQ was reducing bass freq (till 400), adding some mids (till 4k) and turn off Bass Wave after that I liked the sound and separation improved as well.
      My review process is all about Sound quality (90%) as you can see the channel is mostly about wired audio.
      So for wireless, additional things I stress upon are,
      Build and Comfort: No benchmark here, I judge basis on Price
      Mic Quality: Sony 1000xm5 and Air Pods are my benchmark
      ANC and Transparency: Sony XM5 and Bose are my benchmark here.
      Now for sound quality:
      I always judge everything stock, no tip rolling, no eq: Since majority of the people use straight out of box. For audiophiles, I make different videos time to time.
      Criteria: My target curve is Almost Ety Neutral with slight bass boost.
      For Music: I use FLACs on my personal device on Power Amp
      Additionally, For Streaming Apple Music.
