I’m amazed at how well those old tractors could pull. Absolutely amazing.
Normal tractors 1500 Nm from 1200 to 1500 rpm. Lanz 5000Nm from 200 to the point you dare rev it.

It might not be fast, but you'll get where you need to go.
No belching flames, no deafening roars... just a stoic "putt putt putt putt..." as the sled Max's out and the pull lane ends, lol. I think those old Lanz machines could pull a planet out of orbit, albeit at a brisk walking pace

Der lauft in 50 Jahren immer noch mit dem Graugusskolben und der niedrigen Drhzahl Großer Hubraum ist das Zauberwort !!!!9
Ja wenn man zwischen durch den Zylinder ausbohrt und einen größeren Kolben ein baut .
langlebiges material und wenig leistung für den hubraum ergibt halt eine lange lebensdauer
Alles gut und recht, sie wurden auch für die Arbeit gebaut aber ist es denn wirklich notwendig eine so schöne alte Technik dermaßen zu schinden? Statt sich daran zu erfreuen das diese Fahrzeuge die Zeit überdauert haben. Mag sein das es Leute gibt denen das gefällt ich finde es einfach nur furchtbar.
Kein normaler Mensch würde auf die Idee kommen einen 80 jährigen Opa bis an die Leistungsgrenze zu prügeln nur um zu sehen was der Alte noch schafft.
@@monstermastert7314 Die paar Minuten Volllast schaden diesen Motoren nicht , eher im Gegenteil ab und an brauchen sie das damit die Überströmkanäle und der Auspuff mal wieder sauber brennen .
@@mbury8004 Ich sehe die eventuelle Überbelastung auch nicht von Seiten der Laufgarnitur sondern vom Rest der Mechanik. Getriebe, Schaltung, Kupplung Achsen usw.
Oder um es anders zu sagen. Wenn sich der Großvater nach dem 100m Sprint fast die Lunge aus dem Leib hustet wird die bei der Gelegenheit auch sauber.

On the first pull, the sled operator released the weight before the pull ended. It is easier to pull the sled without the weight.

That was 1 meter away from the fence and he released the weight because it already was a full pull! You think he's supposed to hit the fence to ring a bell or what?! Stupid comment.
@@thommitulpe I was wondering what was going on, it almost seemed to be more of a demo than a competition. Usually, well, in the U.S. pulls I've seen at least, there is someone there that calls the pull, either when it's full or when momentum is lost. Typically they use a flag.
Granted these are antiques, but you typically also don't want to get that close to a fence or end of your track either in case there is a connection failure.

I believe they are 2-stroke singles and I say from 200~800 RPM roughly.

Never heard of them before. Cool old tractor, but it needs to be JD Green
They actually exist in JD green. John Deere bought up Lanz in 1956, the Bulldog was build untill 1957, the latest have been green. Then they shifted to other models. JD is still owning the factory and they still build tractors there
