11:20 Seeing no other of the motorcycling tourists on these wonderful little back roads that you explore, says a lot about the average motorcycle tourer of today with their oversized enduros never leaving tarmac. It is comparable to the 4WD SUV cars never see an offroad passage but are for showing off only. You and Basanti are the real motorcycle tourer and adventurer the others are only tourists by chance using a motorcycle. You bring us the real thing back, Noraly. Thank for all your beautiful and charming videos.
Your comment on rarely if ever seeing the giant adventure bikes on back roads is so true. They really are too heavy, too tall and cumbersome for us mortal riders to dare go where we will likely drop them and never get them picked up. Small bike is the way to go which you have proven in spades.
Agree. Simple truth is a 600 lb. bike with a 34"-35" or greater seat height like the BMWs, KTMs, Guzzi Stelvio, etc. are the wrong machine for an average sized person to take out and ride like a dirt bike, regardless of the marketing. These guys who drift bikes like those around curves at 60 mph in sand are either very talented or totally nuts. Regardless...try to pick it up on your own if you dump it. I dropped my CB500X once in a gas station and picking it up alone was futile!
Noraly's RE Basanti has proven to be really reliable, with minimal maintenance required to keep it going. Sill, with all that gear it would be a handful to pick up on the side of the road.
I was thinking the exact thing. Riders of big ADV rigs dread dropping them, especially riding alone. The middle and lighter weight market is prime for mere mortals who want to explore but not do "Sibirsky Extreme" level adventuring.
That old castle made me think of this memory I have....When a was a little girl, I went on holidays with my parents. While driving through the back roads of Croatia, we came across these old ruins and thought it was an old castle. We took some pictures and suddenly this old man came charging at us, waving a stick and really angry. He said in broken German, this used to be his house and was destroyed during WWII. When my father explained we were from The Netherlands and thought it was an old castle, he understood and excused himself and invited us in his new home nearby to drink some self-made slivovice, a native liquor made from prunes to celebrate the peace..... He had this old lady, and he tried to exchange her for my mama. When my father said he was satisfied with living with my mother he threw in a big pig as well.... lol... But he did it smiling, so he was not serious. (at least I don't think he was) One of the funniest memories of my holidays in former Yugoslavia....
When I don't see Itchyboots after dinner my day isn't the same, I'm seeing s1 the third time. I have to say, Noraly is an awesome individual, always gets the day done with a big big smile. Get thrue my day with a big smile. Thanks Noraly 😉😁
Croatia countryside reminds me of Northern Georgia USA, especially near Dahlonega. It's really pretty there too. How nice of the shop owner to put you up for the evening. Bet it was nice to have a little company for awhile. Praying for you to have safe journey's Noraly.
While I am following along, I am far behind where you are in your journey today but one of the greatest things, I am thoroughly enjoying about your travels is how friendly the people are and how helpful they have been. So many willing to give their time without even being asked. So wonderful to see! Let's Go!!!
Hello from Russia, Noraly! Green Planet 😀 Your Basanti - well done! Don’t stop, good road to you. In the Czech Republic there is a Slavic forest with very beautiful curves in the middle of the forest. Ride there in the fall, amazing!
Lived in Croatia - amazing people - one of the most beautiful places ever - can't believe you didn't ride along the coast - what a shame - the scenery is unbelievable - safe riding!!!
I rode all along the Croatian coast in 2019 then turned inland and headed back to Germany, amazing trip and lovely people everywhere, especially when they heard I had traveled from Ireland..
The coast must be a real show and this summer, restrictions permitting, I want to take a trip starting from Trieste doing all of Istria, Fiume/Rijeka, a bit of Bosnia-Herzegovina (of course Mostar) and Dalmatia according to Cattaro/Kotor returning home (I'm from Sanremo, Liguria) taking a ferry from Spalato/ Split to Ancona. PS: Obviously all of you who are not Croatians or Italians cannot know the history of the places and maybe you are not even very interested in it but, remember, that when you are on some coasts of Croatia, especially Istria, the places were not Croatians but they became so forcibly. Today there are many municipalities in Istria with important percentages of Italians left. If you ever happen to have to go back to those places and talk to some Italian (obviously non-tourist) do not treat them as a foreigner, they are at home and they have suffered to stay there. Not all Croatia is croatian! 😉🍻
@@mattiacaldari1084 they were taken back by Croatians. And a lot forcibly changed names should be brought back to original Croatian ones. Including "Italian" painters, organ builders, architects and writers. Don't worry- the history is not exclusively what you were fed. Croatians just don't preach it so loudly. But they remember. And are preparing and waiting for another attempt.
'Beautiful minds inspire others' ... Thank you Noraly for giving so much joy to us dreamers ! Triple Pls: travel safely until Basanti finally brings you back home, whenever / wherever that might be ...
A big thumbs up, Noraly, for another amazing video of Croatia's beautiful country landscape. I always love when you take the less traveled roads but never expected to see the police! What a surprise! I agree, this was an amazing ride and I thank you for sharing your adventure with me. For now, I bid thee adieu and safe travels until the next video. Texas, USA

The more I watch Himalayan videos the more i'm convinced the CB500X is the perfect bike for people looking for occasionally riding and enjouement. my case. Sure I will never travel like you around the globe and it's not the case of many of us for different reasons, but if one want a reliable cheap bike to have a lot of fun the CB500X is the ticket in Europe. @@jofr4 That's another true statement. I did a trip around Western Europe many years ago in a similar fashion to Noraly's. The only differences were that I worked whenever possible (about 12 very different jobs!) and I had a homemade camper van.
I'm off to Croatia, Bosnia & Herzegovina and Serbia next week. Like Noraly I'll be using back roads (but paved) as I'll be on my1200cc Sportsbike. Oh, and I too am on a two week vacation schedule. Rarely on my rides into Croatia do I see other bikes on the back roads-they all seem to stick to motorways. Odd to see all the adventure bikes NOT using the back roads!
@@Donmanolo.2625 From my experiences of biking in Croatia for the last 7 years is that the tourists are usually found in the big towns such as Dubrovnik, Split, Zagreb, etc., the islands like Hvar, and along the coast line. Another fix of Noraly, now my day is complete!! Nice place to stay too. You do realise that when you eventually get home, we have all decided you can have some time off and then next spring you will have to get back on Basanti and ride off into the sunset again!! Stay safe and keep smiling!!

Cetingrad...the name of the fortress...it stands there from roman times...we are full of ancient forts and casttles. Come to Hrvatsko zagorje to see the most beautiful there are. It is north of Zagreb. Safe trip and please be careful while in nature...there are venomous snakes out there and if you see a bear cub...well you will need to be as fast as Dottore is...cheers
@ekim andersom How differnet the world was 6 month ago, right? Nevertheless, Croatia really is an amazing country. Been there like four times and always it was hard to leave! Doesnt matter if it is the Istria region on the coast or the "Outback" regions where nobody lives. All People there are just welcoming and friendly. I guess as soon as this current thing is over, I'll go there again. :D
Wow - that back road could be in my local area (NY Catskills), even the abandoned houses. :D I've gotten so used to seeing what, to me, is exotic terrain in your videos. I guess, coming into Europe, everything will get greener and "forestier". It's cool to see that some of the same wildflowers are blooming, ones that were brought over to North America from Europe and have since naturalized.
Noraly as always another sensational video with exceptional scenery. It’s good to see you and Basanti doing so much traveling. Your videos are truly inspirational and make me wanna take a world tour but, I don’t think I would do it by bike as I have a really bad back and knees but maybe landing by plane then just touring around. You’ve given me the motivation & thanks for that. Croatia 🇭🇷 is beautiful and so were all the countries you’ve traveled to so far. May God keep blessing and protecting you on your travels. Hugs 🤗 from New York City 🌃🏍
Happy to see your infectious smile again. I can't help myself but predict two things. First, "ITCHY BOOTS" will have more than 1 mil+ subscribers and second Basanti will be inducted in the "Netherlands Motorcycle Hall Of Fame ". HOOOO VEEEE.....👍👍👍👍👍
Countryside roads are amazing and the view is like wow, full of love and peace of mother nature.i just want to be there and feel everything , keep rideing and enjoy.
So I was very curious about the ruins you visited, a bit of Google, Google Earth and Wikipedia found it is called Cetin Castle. There are indications that the settlement was there in Roman times and the castle played an important role in Croatian history. Anyway, all of this can be found on Wikipedia. Great video, such beautiful roads...just amazing.
Just stumbled upon this wonderful video, better than any tv. Perfect ride, beautiful landscapes, just the way I like it. Cool bike, very cool lady ! Thanx for sharing, you’ve got a new subscriber. Ride safe & keep going !
You see how easy it is to deal with the Police, you show them what they need to see and away you go. Some people make things so difficult for themselves by arguing with them.
Was there in 1967 with a Vespa motor scooter (from the Netherlands). However we only took the main roads because at that time the succundairy roads were unfit for the Vespa.
Back roads are the way to travel especial if there is no time restriction. When planning a trip, I always look for an adventurous route. Less traffic, beautiful scenery etc. True adventure. Great video.
WOW ! I was the 57th viewer...after only 4 mins. of being posted. BY FAR the lowest number I have ever been, Noraly...you are SO popular now and Basanti is almost like one of the family. Stay safe out there....
"Where are you going?" "Oh, wherever I end up I guess." What a great approach. Allow the journey to tell you what it is, rather than trying to dictate how it's supposed to go. That's discovery, and that is what makes Itchy Boots a unique and priceless channel.
Croatia seems to be a great place to ride! A few weeks ago, I was in the far east of Slovakia close to the Ukrainian border. Not yet with a motorbike unfortunately, but some day I definitely want to, because nature is beautiful there. I'm dreaming of riding a bike just like you!
I love the back roads you take , it always leads to somewhere of interest , those buildings were different , i do not know what they were , its always best to follow your senses , i was not expecting to see the police on such a back road , they were probably taking a tea break Lol ,i hope you get your tyres tomorrow Noraly , have a good rest and enjoy your meal with the bike shop owner and his family , i look forward to your next video , take care and all the very Best
New subscriber, found you accidentally but, I watched at least 20 videos one after another without getting tired !! We’re talking in the wee hours of the night ! I’m looking forward to seeing your next adventure. Ciao
Howdy IB! Well your back roads reveals another ancient treasure! If you had a shovel you may find a sword or at least a mammoth tusk! You are the best travel guide on our planet! Maybe the universe!❤
Another great day, awesome countryside. Glad you missed the rain, I rode in it yesterday but not my first wet ride in 50 yrs of riding, lol. Thanks again for taking us along, stay safe.
Few years back a biker friend of mine while touring solo in the Balkans decided not to plan any routes for 2 days,he just used his GPS as a compass. He said it was the best 2 days of his 35 day trip.He met some amazing local people..
@@saigonnais The police said " goeiedag" meaning good day and " totsiens meaning good bye. Exactly the same in Afrikaans, a language spoken in South Africa.
Well croatia is a tourism orinented, especially in that southern part, and thus, during the season we invite police officers from other countries to patrol with our constables in tourist areas, usually where a larger concentartion of tourists from some country occurs, where their travel agencies have arrangemrnts, there usually their native condtables patrol with ours, they can't hold firearms ofc, and can't arrest people, but they serve to give additional assurances to people, help translating for non english speakers and so on. Croatia is a very safe country, i mean safe even in european terms solely, but those additional efforts just rise that feeling of safety even higher. There's something around 20 foreign countries whose policemen participate in that programme every summer, the programme started approx 20 years ago already, funnily enough the first cop form the united states came only the past year, or the year before, a black man from georgia, he was stunned how the police in europe works and he said he felt he wasn't on the job at all, no sirens, no gunshots heard, no stress at all haha! Anyways this cop probably patrolled with some dutch cops, or the alternative someone from the family rents apartments, or has a family hotel or works in a hotel, i mean some basics in european lgges in a tourist area is a must. As to what they were doing there, simple, migrants, human trafickers, backroads near the bosnian border, and outer eu border, what do you think they were doing..
Hi Noraly, Only just got around to this episode - been playing catch-up ! Beautiful countryside, reminds me of parts of England ... You make an excellent point about GSs - they're everywhere one minute and nowhere the next ! Ride safe 👍🏻

I have a feeling those two cops were just out there to grab a bite to eat, heard someone (you) coming and thought: "Now we have to justify being here." Funny they even knew some Dutch. The service by that dealer may have been small, but it was also great.

Even when I rode my CX500 I enjoyed exploring the small roads.

Come to Hrvatsko zagorje to see the most beautiful there are.
It is north of Zagreb. Safe trip and please be careful while in nature...there are venomous snakes out there and if you see a bear cub...well you will need to be as fast as Dottore is...cheers
I fear I got infected with the Croatia virus ..... what a beautifull country. Thanks Noraly 😚
I don't know why bro but "Croatia virus" had me laughing
What a super adventure you are having, Noraly. Fabulous trips and videos. Take care and Godspeed.
Great journey from Delhi to Croatia
Beautiful country
God bless
Loving those back roads!
Very nice folks at the bike shop, with the apartment, and dinner, etc.
Looking forward to the new tires.
Happy Trails
Nice trip through small green roads. Beautiful country
Correct! Thnx for your invetigation.
I personally use mapy.cz and there is also this castle marked (Cetingrad), very close to Bosnian border.
Thank you
Just stumbled upon this wonderful video, better than any tv. Perfect ride, beautiful landscapes, just the way I like it. Cool bike, very cool lady ! Thanx for sharing, you’ve got a new subscriber. Ride safe & keep going !
Another great video Noraly, thank you!
Greetings from South Africa, reis veilig en geniet dit!
INDIANS a chunk of her followers are busy in celebrating 73rd INDEPENDANCE DAY.
Yea amazing hej . Like ducks waiting in a pond for their daily lucky moment to be fed😋
"Where are you going?" "Oh, wherever I end up I guess." What a great approach. Allow the journey to tell you what it is, rather than trying to dictate how it's supposed to go. That's discovery, and that is what makes Itchy Boots a unique and priceless channel.
You have been treated well by these bike shops, just fantastic !!! Always great videos !!!👍👍👍
The owner of that motorcycle dealer really understands what the words "Customer Service" really means. In a word. Awesome!
Its most beautifull country so far!
You deserve big kiss for this video about my country alone. Very nice travel videos in total. Keep up the good work and enjoy!!
7:05 wow! did you just somehow find a backroad into heaven?! what a lovely piece of land!
Another great day, awesome countryside. Glad you missed the rain, I rode in it yesterday but not my first wet ride in 50 yrs of riding, lol. Thanks again for taking us along, stay safe.
Noraly, das war wieder ein tolles Video 👍ich wünsche Dir weiterhin eine unfallfreie Reise.
Few years back a biker friend of mine while touring solo in the Balkans decided not to plan any routes for 2 days,he just used his GPS as a compass. He said it was the best 2 days of his 35 day trip.He met some amazing local people..
Nice video. It was amazing the police spoke Dutch. Greetings from Holland!
What did the police say?
Hi Noraly,
Only just got around to this episode - been playing catch-up !
Beautiful countryside, reminds me of parts of England ...
You make an excellent point about GSs - they're everywhere one minute and nowhere the next !
Ride safe 👍🏻
Croatia is a beautiful country!
I’ve met some really cool bike heads at the rijeka race track 🏁 next time I like to visit Croatia for an amazing bike tour
Enjoy the bike life 🙌
You are a brave lady. Very good 👍 working. Exploring the world with you from home.
Good morning Noraly, it's 1:12 am and a big 👍's up.
Your hooning on the back roads finally caught up with you. The police have you in their sites...😂
Greetings Noraly..
Thank you for sharing your adventure .... The way you enjoy the back roads... :) You are REALLY going to enjoy the "Trans America Trail" and other Back "Country Discovery Routes" in North America.. when you get to this side of the pond.
Safe Travels,
Cheers...!
Another fun video! I remember Karlovac when I was in the army. They have good beer there, Karlovacko pivo, I think it's called.
Thank you for sharing your adventures. I really enjoy seeing the countryside, people and their customs. Safe Travels!
Great video, Noraly. Yes, those police were a surprise! I was thinking, "Oh no...was Noraly speeding?" They just wanted to say hi!
police is there cause its near Bosnian border and its a lot refugees try to illegal passes
@@RikardBlazThanks for this great explanation!
Countryside there is beautiful! Very fun day of riding and some service for Basanti! Very good!
Excellent Noraly's "Itchy Boots" Thank you very much !
I have a feeling those two cops were just out there to grab a bite to eat, heard someone (you) coming and thought: "Now we have to justify being here."
Funny they even knew some Dutch.
The service by that dealer may have been small, but it was also great.
Hey Noraly, of course we like the video!, lovely film as ever . I don't think any bike shops in the UK offer accommodation and a meal with every service!! Cheers, Steve
Found your channel just over a couple of weeks and and binge watched the lot from episode 1 to the latest. Bloody fantastic!!
What great hospitality from a dealership.. Puts a lot of confidence in wanting to travel in that area of Europe.. Police looked like they were having a sly on-duty break.. haha.. #RideSafe
Noraly awesome motorcycle dealer having a place to stay while working on the bike👍. Yep your so wright about the majority of adventurer rider (GS) who stick to the main roads and miss the real essence of travelling which you show with your excellent video blogs. Ride safe keep well ☀️😎🏍👌
Hi noraly Sorry My english is bad I am french I left comments on yours videos without thinking that i wrote in french Your roadtrip is amazing The landscape beautiful Good road ✌️
Yet another great Video, thank you for sharing this, I've become a big fan, your always so cheerful and not affraid to get your hands dirty if something goes wrong with the bike. 👍😊
Croatia looks very nice!
Basanti is such a nimble little bike, that it even with your luggage is much funnier and easier to drive than those big BMW's etc + you drive for the fun of it and to see the country you're in. where many others just want to say "I've been in". Even when I rode my CX500 I enjoyed exploring the small roads.
beautiful country!!!!
I watched this video a long time ago. I like watching it again. Hello from Croatia.
Hi Noraly. Always a great video. Linda and I can't wait for your tour of North America. Remember... USA TODAY NAMED THE CABOT TRAIL IN CAPE BRETON NOVA SCOTIA CANADA AS THE # 1 RIDE IN NORTH AMERICA. Take good care. Doug in Nova Scotia.
Noraly, Doug hit it right on the head. The Cabot Trail will NOT disappoint you. 🇨🇦
I've noticed that this is the video that you began to narrate more whilst riding. It's great to hear your in ride reactions 👍
Excellent video thank you Noraly.God bless you 👍
Having watched a few of your videos now, I have to agree with other contributors that Royal Enfield should acknowledge your contribution to the appreciation of their product by sponsoring your next adventure. This could be by paying your expenses, or providing you with a new machine. You are an amazing lady. X
Ride safe always Noraly and Basanti.
Love the little flowers at old ruins site. ❤
Looks like a nice country to ride through, I had some Mitas tyres on my DRZ400 which lasted well and felt good on and off road. Great service from the bike shop so far.
De service is done.... en de sticker van jou plakt ook prima op dat plekje :) . Vandaag iets minder landschappen gezien, maar jou "Eternal Smile" maakt alles meer dan goed. Het blijft toch genieten... haha... Keep going, ride safe Noraly.
