I love watching Itchy Boots videos, not only for the travel and adventure experience, but also for following Noraly’s evolution as a rider, a photographer and videographer, an editor, and a drone photographer. Her videos have developed into visual and audio feasts, made even more incredible by the fact that she often operates the drone for wide overhead segments WHILE riding. Also, she has always put great effort into selecting music appropriate to each segment. She has clearly grown in all of these fields and it will be fascinating to see where her skills and interests take her in the future. I think her skills as a polyglot and scientist as well as her love of travel and challenges enrich her stories and keep channel members and subscribers looking forward to each new episode and season. She has clearly brightened and inspired many viewers’ lives, and it was a pleasure to view this interview.
Great to see Noraly's happy smiling face! Intelligent, courageous, cultured, positive, multitalented, multilingual and perhaps the nicest person on RUclips. How can you not love her?
Noraly is the best, worldwide motorcycle industry, spokesperson ever! She's classy, modest, and charming as heck! Congratulations guys for having her on your show! What a score!
Fantastic interview with Noraly. She exudes charm and, without any pretense, speaks so eloquently about the joys of riding a motorcycle, while using it as a way of seeing the world. If the "industry" were looking for an ambassador to introduce more people into riding I can't think of anyone more qualified than her. Much respect Itchy Boots.

First time I've seen you guys and totally enjoyed the 2 hrs. I'm a HUGE fan of Noraly and Itchy Boots. Absolutely love her philosophy: Set goals, work at the goals, push through the challenges. Live every day-don't just exist. As a 71 year old woman from Canada who rides a Kawasaki Vulcan, I'm intrigued by the off-roading she does. I'm tempted, but will probably stick to riding a cruiser. Now going to watch "Into the Dust 4 (then 1,2,3). Great interview with Noraly. A true Spirit of the Adventurer and she does it SOLO on a Motorbike. Throw in guts, dirt roads and trails. Then add Desert heat, rain, thunderstorms, hail. Now take all that up to Max elevations in the Andes, freezing temperatures. NOW top it all off with EXPERT video and commentary. I love Noraly’s vlogs. Not only is she knowledgable and interesting but she has an amazing charm and everyone she meets enjoys meeting her. I think if she had a more competitive bike during the Kalahari rally she would have been on the winning podium. She was faster than many others on her 250! I think she will be doing a lot of rallies all over the world as well as her travelling soon
Great conversation, and worth a few hours out of my life. I am in Ecuador right now, and headed over to pick up my Himalayan, which has been in storage waiting for me since November 2019. As an old guy in less than robust physical condition, I found Noraly's travel videos inspiring. If a 5'5" woman can travel Asia and South America alone, I just needed to make the decision and go!
This is the absolute best guest interview ever. Anytime I get to see an interview with Noraly it's a good day. You guys did a really nice job with the interview, bring her back any chance you get.
good interview! almost two hours is still too short. she has special parents: not afraid of anything, just like Noraly. I hope to see her more often with you. warm greetings from the Netherlands/Holland from fellow motorcyclist Kobus.
👍🏻great interview. I’ve seen every one of Noraly’s videos. I started three years ago and binge watched . I am a great grandma and love riding along on her adventures and look forward to season six. As Noraly would say, “Let’s go!”
Great interview. I have not come across your channel before, but I watch any and everything to do with Noraly. I have watched every single video of hers and several interviews on other channels. I am a huge fan. Totally believe she is THE BEST RUclipsR on the planet. Was excited to see this interview pop up in my feed as she is on a well deserved break after Season 5 and I have been missing her so much. Extremely bright, happy and continuously positive person. I have HUGE respect for her!!!!
Thank you for featuring one of the great motorcyclist travelers Noraly aka Itchy Boots. Not only she is a motorcyclist traveler, she is also a Chemical Geologist who holds a masters degree and an accomplished videographer.
Love this interview. I've been following Noraly for a long time. I've found her to be such an inspiration, not only giving me courage to take off on a motorcycle for solo trips but also her positive outlook on life. Thank you for having her on your show. I can't wait to see what her new bike is and where she will be going with it.
What a fantastic interview. Her channel is just amazing and my coffee breaks at work are set to her episodes drops. Really excited to see where she goes next. Such an insperational person and always positive. I don't think I have ever seen a video of her where she is not in a positive mindset 💚
I named my first bike, a brand new Tenere 700, Noraly! I can't think of a better way to describe how this wonderful woman can inspire people about motorcycles and adventures! She's unique! 😍
If I had to guess Noraly's next bike, it's a Honda CRF300L Rally. It's lighter than the Enfield, more powerful and faster than the 250L and Enfield, and carries more fuel. For a featherweight rider like her, it would be pretty great.
When I heard she thought the cb500x was too heavy I changed my mind from the tenere 700 to to either a Crf300L or 300 rally too. You can't really get them used either so she'd have to buy new. Working out her next bike is a fun game 😂
@@zeuszoegutsy I haven't seen any riding she has done for which the Rally wouldn't be well suited. She complained of the small fuel range on the 250 and the 300L suffers the same issue. The 300 Rally has well more than 50% additional fuel capacity. For someone her size, the stock suspension would work well. I'm over 100 kg and have upgraded my shock and fork spring. The 300 Rally really is a great lightweight ADV bike and As an owner of one, I would be quite pleased to see Noraly end up on the same bike.
@@aaronbehindbars maybe she'll do a Crf300L/rally with 12.5 litre acerbis adventure tank and uprated front and back suspension. That'd be an awesome bike
Noraly confirmed today that she has selected the Honda CRF300 Rally for Season 6. Bike is named Alaska and will continue the South America - Alaska odyssey.
Noraly...no matter the degree of hardships you've experienced during your trips, you still keep smiling. Keep spreading the positivity around. Hats off!
Noraly, you are such an inspiration! Thank you for being a guest here. And I agree - Central Asia is the place to go on a motorcycle :) We have just been to Kyrgyzstan this summer and it was an adventure of a lifetime. Good luck with your next IB season 6! :)
Wow. Noraly puts the "adventure" in ADV! I have completed some huge rides, but what she has done is absolutely amazing! An inspiration for sure. Well done Noraly and HSLS.
In the Netherlands getting a license is much more difficult then in the States. Getting a license involves a theory exam, a first test on a parking lott where you have to make special manoeuvres like figures 8, emergency stop, and so on. The second test is a test on the road of about 40 minutes. You will be followed by an examinator dtiving a car. Your riding instructor will be in the passenger seat giving you directions threw a radio because it is a suprise route. Making one mistake will probably get you flunked. Getting a license will take atleast 15 hours of lessons considering you already have a car license and are capable of participating in traffic. During the lessons you wear an earpiece and your instructor usually follows (sometimes leads) on a motorcycle or in car.
First time listener. You popped into my feed I’m sure because I’m an Itchy Boots subscriber and follower, since her first season. Love her style, her perspective, her excitement. So guess as an enthusiastic cyclist I’ll have to subscribe to your podcast!!!
That was so great! I’m following Noraly since the beginning and she’s definitely changed my point of view on motorcycling, the way I go through challenges on the road and lighten my desire to see the world. Thanks for this podcast!
@@NewSkiwi wouldn't have expected anything less from the lady 😍 as a fellow dirt rider, I watched in awe at her ability and pure guts riding those sand sections
She grew so much since South America. The training she did in the Netherlands and the experience she got earlier in Africa really came out in the rally!
We learned of Noraly during the pandemic when she was doing South America to Alaska and have been following her RUclips channel ever since. Great interview BTW! She is such an intelligent, articulate, confident lady who has so much to offer her viewers that you can't help but learn something watching her adventures. I am still shocked a motorcycle mfg or major clothing line has not sponsored her yet before she hits it big on the cable TV circuit. Looking forward to the next season and what motorcycle she has chosen. Now give her a thumbs up and subscribe below!
Noraly is the best. Loved this interview so much. She is proof that the motorcycling life is safer than people want to accept. Wear your gear, stay alert, ride level headed and the world is absolutely your oyster. My guess for her next bike- Honda #3, CRF 300L Rally.
Best advice: do not listen to anybody that says you can’t do it. Instantly it reminded me of a guy in my country (Romania) that rode a scooter (350 i think with 26 hp) from here to Denmark with a pillion. That is around 7000 km. Everyone said he can’t do it 😊 Amazing episode! Thanks for it and keep up the good work! 😀
Noraly is an absolute delight. I wish her intelligence and confidence could be distilled down into a vaccine and given to every little girl in the world.
Jocelin Snow is under 5'2". Where Itchy Boots adventures, the roads look like your trails, but they ARE the main roads, so fuel is more abundant, where as the off-road in America, you can be 80 miles away from gas and have to leave the trail to go there. Revzilla needs to team up with Itchy Boots for the Kalihari Rally, and then you guys should sponsor/adventure with her for all the BDRs.
I have followed Ithcy Boots for a couple of years.. She is always so cheerful and happy . pleasant and patient.. She always rides very slowly and cautious. I was really Surprised when she rode rather fast in the Ralley and looked to be very comperative.. What a Shocker that she likes Dust to Glory 4
Great interview! It would be easy to get stuck on the fact the she is gorgeous and not go much further. But she is an accomplished rider, adventurer, photographer, geologist ...you name it. She treats everyone with respect. She has great problem solving ability and weighs the risks/ benefits of a situation par excellence. Your interview tapped into her vast knowledge base and experience, let her shine and treated her with great respect. I also didn't want it to end. We'll done!
As a female rider, Noraly is definitely an inspiration. Not that I am planning to sell up and travel the world, but I did take my z400 on a three day trip around the Isle of Wight. Baby steps :-)
I’m from Holland and love hearing Her. My wife has the same accent. Watch many of her videos and so amazed how she solos around the world in some of the most remote areas. Totally insane.
17:50 SO true... I'm sitting here listening to YammiNoob lecturing people on "DONT RIDE IN THE RAIN, YOU WILL WRECK YOUR BIKE" Meanwhile, i then discovered ItchyBoots and she's casually riding on mud roads in full rain with a 500 foot cliff next to the broken bridge she just drove over... Makes you realize that perhaps, 'rules' from people with little experience, shouldnt be taken as full gospel. Noraly could outdo any of those other self-proclaimed professionals on youtube, because she has the 'real' mileage to show for it. Not just highways.
Being "able" to pick up the bike can change as well. I'm 6'3 240 and have a1290 adventure s and have no problems picking it up. The last time i dropped it i came off bad and landed on my ribs wrong, when i went to pick it up like normal it was a real painful nope...lol. i'm sure id of been able to pick up a 250 but that 1290 wasn't going anywhere with the rib that day. So when alone that many miles away from anywhere the 250 makes a lot sense.
Yes that’s why I go off road with a Versys 300X, with my fragile back aged 75, I can sill pick it up, albeit sometimes after falling three times n quick succession, it was getting really tricky, I was on my own, i off loaded some of my gear, it’s a risk, some say stupid, but nothing ventured nothing gained, not sure I will be doing it much more, or at least not n my own.
the best answer I have ever heard for what bike should I get is " get a bike you can lift by yourself" especially if your doing adventure riding because no matter how good of a rider you are you will drop it and if your alone who's going to help you
Into the Dust 4- How has any youtube fan missed that one? Thanks fellas for talking with her. She really is inspirational if you watch how open she is to whatever the day brings. She is quite amazing.
But, most importantly, excellent pick with NORALY! I have watched her since she started, and it is always a joy to return to RUclips to catch up with her.
My wife and I just love watching all available videos from Noraly since day one. She is amazing and made me get my love for bike riding back at 77 years old. Every time I get on my Ducati I thank her in my mind as I enjoy the obvious pleasure of riding a bike into the unknown.

2024 october 26, her next bike for … (she will announce it soon) is a customized Yamaha XT 600 tenere from 1987. motoritz did the customization with her. ~160 kg, lowered seat, less compression for low fuel quality, ~40 hp 50 Nm, other spoked rims, other exhaust, modified clutch with carbon fibre, mounting system for preventing the plastic melting, …
Hey boys, thanks for interviewing our excellent tour leader Noraly "Itchy Boots" Schoenmaker. She's brilliant, resourceful, intelligent, kind and her positive spirit is contagious. 1- Noraly is a diamond that needs to be seen by everyone, what an incredible human being!! She is indeed an inspiration to everyone. 2 - About the maturity/potency discussion to start riding a motorcycle. I think there should only be one measure for the person who takes their first license. If a person has ever driven a car, for example, he could already have a full license, or something like that. Congratulations on the good work you always do!
Each episode of HSLS seems to get longer and longer but while I dread trying to set aside the time to view it, after 5-10 minutes I'm hooked for the whole show. Well done lads - Grandpa Big Dog
Have been following Noraly since her early days in India and SE Asia. She has always provided interesting and insightful videos and postings. Very intelligent and articulate and an inspiration for many people to get into motorcycle riding, both male and female. And has maintained a cool and level head through some tough adventures. Easy to understand why she is closing in on 900000 subscribers. Glad you had her on the show. 👍👍😀🏍🇨🇦
Great interview! It never dawned on my how much effect she probably has had on women coming into motorcycling. We need more of that! As far as the danger of riding in various countries, I've come realize that Noraly's very disarming and engaging demeanor seems to offset that quite a bit. That, and I'm sure she has the street smarts to assess situations. Anyhow, great stuff!
Noraly is really a national treasure of her home country of the Netherlands, and she should be made an honorary ambassador. She is so positive and inspiring! And yes, sponsor the lady for goodness sakes!

This interview has really planted a seed in my little brain. I think motorcycle touring on and off-road is what I've wanted to do my whole life so it is definitely worth working towards. I'm 66 and not getting any younger-but touring on a motorcycle would definitely make me feel a whole helluva lot younger! Thanks again! Ride Safe Everyone!
Literally my two favorite motorcycle media thing combined! I'm a RevZilla fan, high side lowside listener and an itchy boots Patreon. So happy I had to stop the podcast and come to watch it here.
Charming girl. I've watched most of her videos. When she started out she was a bit nervous off-road but is now a confident rider. Her travelogues are good because she's very intelligent and very curious about the places and people she meets. Her Namibia episodes were a real experience, very beautiful, remote, austere landscape. Like being on the Moon.
Brilliant questions led to a brilliant and completely absorbing conversation. I had to pause the video once to look up 'Into the Dust 4' and put it on watch later. The time for this interview flew by!

This is the absolute best guest interview ever. Anytime I get to see an interview with Noraly it's a good day. You guys did a really nice job with the interview, bring her back any chance you get.
Itchy Boots, my favorite channel on yt! Noraly is such an inspiration!
good interview! almost two hours is still too short. she has special parents: not afraid of anything, just like Noraly. I hope to see her more often with you. warm greetings from the Netherlands/Holland from fellow motorcyclist Kobus.
She's wonderful!..........can't get enough of her videos and interviews.
👍🏻great interview. I’ve seen every one of Noraly’s videos. I started three years ago and binge watched . I am a great grandma and love riding along on her adventures and look forward to season six. As Noraly would say, “Let’s go!”
That was hands down the best episode of HSLS I’ve ever seen. I loved it. Awesome guest, awesome natural chemistry with everyone. Very cool.
Noraly is my adventure HERO !! Love everything she does and can't wait to see what she has planned next.
Hey Doug! Spot on, 100 % agree!
Kind regards Kobus the Netherlands 👍🥃🥳👋
First time viewer and devoted Noraly fan. Really enjoyed your presentation. Two hours went so fast. Great job guys!
Itchy Boots is an inspiration to anyone on two wheels....
Thank you for featuring one of the great motorcyclist travelers Noraly aka Itchy Boots. Not only she is a motorcyclist traveler, she is also a Chemical Geologist who holds a masters degree and an accomplished videographer.
This is awesome. Nice hearing from our favorite motorcyclist and vlogger on your show! Looking forward to new adventures from Itchy Boots.
Great epispode, what an amazing woman Noraly is! Such an inspiration. I actually bought my 1st bike bc of her, the RE Himalayan 🤩
2weks agoe it was still a secret as witsh bike she will ride on.
But now we kno it will be a new start in the alaskan trip.
And a new 300cc ride
Her positive attitude is one of her super powers.
Working out her next bike is a fun game 😂
should be the 300L - better in the dirt than the Rallye - needs a suspension upgrade though
Norally! A woman of substance! Really! She's living her dream! And we ours through her camera and ride! Love ❤ from India! 🏍🏍👏👏👏🤘👌
Noraly IS the definition of inspiration
Wow. Noraly puts the "adventure" in ADV! I have completed some huge rides, but what she has done is absolutely amazing! An inspiration for sure. Well done Noraly and HSLS.
And she does it without $2000000 of support vehicle fleet surrounding her.
Thank you RevZilla for hosting Noraly “Itchy Boots”. The most missed RUclipsr after her last season.
Noraly is one of my favorite streamers. Watched all seasons and interviews. Thanks for this stream. Greetings from Johannesburg South Africa.
Thanks for this podcast!
you have got to watch this lady doing the Kalahari Rally - she kicked the crap out of most of the rest of the field
She sure did, but she was gracious about it at the same time.
@@NewSkiwi wouldn't have expected anything less from the lady 😍
as a fellow dirt rider, I watched in awe at her ability and pure guts riding those sand sections
Noraly is such a wonderful ambassador for our passion. Please keep following her adventures.
I have never watched an almost 2 hrs interview in my life until now.
Noraly is the best. Loved this interview so much. She is proof that the motorcycling life is safer than people want to accept. Wear your gear, stay alert, ride level headed and the world is absolutely your oyster. My guess for her next bike- Honda #3, CRF 300L Rally.
Possibly with a bigger tank, if they do it.
Best advice: do not listen to anybody that says you can’t do it. Instantly it reminded me of a guy in my country (Romania) that rode a scooter (350 i think with 26 hp) from here to Denmark with a pillion. That is around 7000 km. Everyone said he can’t do it 😊
Amazing episode!
Noraly is a such a delightful person. Thank you Itchy Boots for hanging with these guys!
We'll done!
Gorgeous?
She looks ok, but pretty average, in the Netherlands she is maybe a 6/7
As a female rider, Noraly is definitely an inspiration.
I'm sitting here listening to YammiNoob lecturing people on "DONT RIDE IN THE RAIN, YOU WILL WRECK YOUR BIKE"
Meanwhile, i then discovered ItchyBoots and she's casually riding on mud roads in full rain with a 500 foot cliff next to the broken bridge she just drove over... Makes you realize that perhaps, 'rules' from people with little experience, shouldnt be taken as full gospel. Noraly could outdo any of those other self-proclaimed professionals on youtube, because she has the 'real' mileage to show for it. Not just highways.
yammi annoys me. noraly inspires me
I’m 51. She inspired me to get my first motorcycle. Now I have three. Riding dirt roads/trails is my favorite.
Exactly I just traded my RT for a Tiger 900 GT - 200 lbs lighter and much easier for my swiss cheese back
Yes that’s why I go off road with a Versys 300X, with my fragile back aged 75, I can sill pick it up, albeit sometimes after falling three times n quick succession, it was getting really tricky, I was on my own, i off loaded some of my gear, it’s a risk, some say stupid, but nothing ventured nothing gained, not sure I will be doing it much more, or at least not n my own.
the best answer I have ever heard for what bike should I get is " get a bike you can lift by yourself" especially if your doing adventure riding because no matter how good of a rider you are you will drop it and if your alone who's going to help you
Noraly has inspired me to ride more. Zach and Ari have made me a better rider. Seeing these two here is awesome. Kudos to you
Into the Dust 4- How has any youtube fan missed that one? Thanks fellas for talking with her. She really is inspirational if you watch how open she is to whatever the day brings. She is quite amazing.
Outstanding. Been following IB for a couple of years now. Always brings a smile to my face. You're right, she's a great ambassador!
But, most importantly, excellent pick with NORALY! I have watched her since she started, and it is always a joy to return to RUclips to catch up with her.
I'm so glad you interviewed her. Noraly is best motovlogger out there.
My wife and I just love watching all available videos from Noraly since day one. She is amazing and made me get my love for bike riding back at 77 years old. Every time I get on my Ducati I thank her in my mind as I enjoy the obvious pleasure of riding a bike into the unknown.
Sorry guys, I had not heard of either of you before. Only here because of Noraly. You are in the presence of royalty so I hope you do it right.
Noraly is great with bikes, but to watch her video is a great lesson on dealing with people (strangers) she is very charming and disarming.
Wow guys you nocked it out of the park. I have followed Noraly from the start and am totally blown away by her. I am a 70 old gray beard that loves to ride and I am going to look up that movie. I am so excited that you made concession's with Noraly. WOW AND MORE WOW
Proud of her as a fellow Dutchie. And .... she's on her way again!! And she'll be coming your way guys if I am not mistaken.
Hey boys, thanks for interviewing our excellent tour leader Noraly "Itchy Boots" Schoenmaker. She's brilliant, resourceful, intelligent, kind and her positive spirit is contagious. In addition to her videos, taking time to teach us cultures, destinations and history.
Excitedly awaiting her Season 6.
BTW boys there is no "favourite" episode for us Itchy Boots Team Members. They're all brilliant and informative. When one thinks a specific episode was great - KABLAMO ☄ - she whacks you with a better segment.
Stay safe. 🖖🏽🤟🏽🇨🇦
Wow, An icon in the adventure motorcycle world, Unmatched experience, poised, smart, and beautiful. And you two blew it! All you did is talk and missed the best interview you’ll ever have. She had about 10% of the air time.
Really enjoyed your interview with Itchy Boots. We love her adventures and look forward to more of your podcasts.
Noraly is my hero! Supply Chain: Ordered handle bars from Australia over six weeks ago. They are sitting in customs US LA,CA for 15 days..
The most Popular Motorcycle in the World is the Honda Cub. They didn't even sell it in the USA for many years...
Yes look at what Ed March on his C90 has achieved, who needs an adventure bike.
Nobody downvoted this (yet) while, right now, 4.4 k people upvoted: perhaps the internet does acknowledge quality after all.
NICE.. i ran into her Channel last week and saw a few of her Videos and really liked them and her. (totally impressed with her adventures.) THEN... ran into your videos via the "related videos" list on side of youtube screen.. then to find your interview with her was like "WIN WIN" - she is so impressive nad has an infectious smile ! - Good job guys !
I have never seen anyone “make it happen” quite like Noraly.
@1:29:00 - HA! We KNEW IT - Noraly was bitten by the Rally bug in South Africa!
Thanks for that guys! I'm so glad I stumbled on this interview of Noraly (aka: 'Itchy Boots'). Her attitude towards getting out there and doing it is totally infectious!
I loved her entire African trip!
Brilliant questions led to a brilliant and completely absorbing conversation. I had to pause the video once to look up 'Into the Dust 4' and put it on watch later. The time for this interview flew by!
I switched to all Motul products. And i love them all and love the channel, thank you all so mutch. ❤
In Colombia, motorcycles are excempt of tolls. Thanks for the interview, Itchy it's amazing.
