There were so many options of breaches to highlight, but I chose to focus on those company brands that the audience would likely relate to, and to keep such references brief in the spirit of the TED talk brevity. The point of highlighting the breaches was to emphasize the difficulty that organizations face in securing information, and the role that humans play in the process. I hope that message resonated even without mentioning some of the other high-profile breaches!
