- A short guide showing up the whole moveset of the brave style on gunlance and how to use it.
Sorry for lack of equipment and build information, Im not confident enough because the lack of on-screen numbers to make the job easier. Игры
I'm not uploading any more videos for the moment.
This is one of the few I'm going to restore.
To keep the comunity alive I have created a sub www.reddit.com/r/Gunlance/
Valor made Gunlance great again in GU. I wonder all the moveset on full and wishes it was carried to world.
Specially that guardpoint in reload.
Honestly, this is really helpful, thanks! After trying out a couple of the weapons, Gunlance was definitely the one that felt the best for me. Brave style has been the one other forums and the like have been recommending as the go to style for Gunlance but I just haven't been able to get too much out of it so far. I did not realize I still had access to Wyvern Fire in this style as well, thought I had lost it permanently.
I am like you: I loved the gunlance but I just couldn't get it to work very well outside of MHGU. I listened to Gaijun Hunter's discussion about Brave/Valor Style and gave it a whirl but hated the incredibly slow sheathing process. (I was still far too novice at this game at the time) So I moved on. Recently I found a time attack from a guy/gal who basically didn't bother managing the heat gauge (!!!) and instead just focused on getting into Valor stance and quick reloading, slamming, and unleashing the full burst. The guard point on the quick reload is very nice. My times have gone down considerably. I had switched over to Lance for awhile and it was fun, but I've always had a heart for gunlance. Watching this video showed me a couple new tricks I hadn't considered, so even better. Wyvern Fire is hard to pull off outside of Valor Stance. I usually just pull off the X+A attack and rarely get WF. I had been using a Long gunlance, but switched back over to a Normal gunlance because that version is best for full bursts. Honestly, learn how to use the Valor Stance evade and don't bother worrying about the heat gauge. I struggled with that the most at first and it was what drove me from the weapon. Now, I don't give a rip. I just use the Heat Gauge Hunter Art to bring it back up to full red and spam quick reload-full burst. You won't make friends online, but when they see how much damage you're doing, I doubt they'll care. I hope this helps.
Another great video from CaoSlayer! Keep them comming
You forgot that after a quick reload you can press X+A to do a Lunge instead of the X slam, this is a gamechanger for normal and wide since it gets you closer to the monster to continue the shelling punishment.
Awesome as usual
Thanks!
Hi, cool showcase for the valor gunlance .. especially with that background music.. may I ask whats the name of the bg music?
It is you will know our names from xenoblades chronicles
Thanks very helpful
Time for new goal on gu! Tysm
is chi a dlc cat or do you mean just the skill?
Is guard needed?
Great Video! Loved it
Great video, I'm looking into trying GL out now that I've picked up GenU.
What's the music?
Good.
I always leave the music on the video comments.
I cant get it now
It's the Xenoblade Chronicles fight music
In case you still haven't found out, the name of the song is "You Will Know Our Names" from Xenoblade Chronicles (not X or 2, just the first one)
Thank you, @@Kaizinego. I already found it, but it took a ton of Googling
sounds interesting but convoluted at the same time; i can't see myself timing sheathe dodges all that well, especially when there are multiple monster or you get too close to the monster and you can't see yourself or the monster entirely (which is just the camera never zooming out)
i also didn't like how the combos im used to from adapt don't really work as well, which its a different art thats a given but i wish there are valor in blocking because as it seems you might as well not have a shield since you're dodging everything by sheathing
If you hold sheath you you stay in that state, but your stamina drains a lot and your health drains slowly
how do i get that healing cat???
The skill is healing flask.
The unlock is killing a giadrome
CaoSlayer thank you very much!
I'm glad I found your channel while I was playing Rise. Now I can watch your GU stuff since I'm boycotting GaijinHunter for being a mean person.
I don't have much GU content sadly.
I wonder what said gaijin this time to make you furious.
@@caoslayer It was just his old Twitter rants calling people names
What's your skill set?
In this video Im using the old artillery expert, guard +2 and load up.
Is not an optimal set for G rank at all.
You can do better using the deviant crab armor with an artillery expert charm or Attla ka armor.
Unsubbing until i get a switch so i dont get spoiled. Cya in a few months Cao
Nooooooo!
Kidding. I understand you.. there are a couple of monsters in XX/Gen than are a total surprise.
I am not a fan of Gunlance in this game. Lots of work for little pay off/ nerfed version of gunlance since after 4U.
The nerf to shelling on gen got undone on xx.
The also made heat less hard to handle.
Brave is such a big buff to shelling style, In gen I dreaded the four Hyper monsters quests in arena, in XX I made them in half the time.
Shelling only start to fall behind on g rank.
