Always enjoy the hunts. It is disappointing when your hunt days are limited and the nothing seems to cooperate when you're out there. But at least you didn't get skunked and you and your buddy and dog had a good time.
Also hunt with boats on backside of the rows instead of edge of your water where decoys are at. Helps to hide and make sure you dont pull any corn stalks with cobs on them. Agents can give u a baiting ticket. Have seen it first hand.
I’m newer to hunting and am wonder how you find land to hunt out of a kayak/layout boat. Seems like everywhere around me is the set blinds that you have to draw for permits. Any info would help out a ton.
Big fan of your videos! Im a long time watcher and first time commenter. I just have one question for you. What is the most shallow water that the refuge runner can handle? (With all the stuff you usually have) Anyway thanks for all the awesome content you put out!
Anybody that passes up until waiting for Mallards has to be crazy till are better eating. Anyways, don't understand the fascination with Mallards. They're good, but I'll take a teal wood duck way before a mallard much taste. You're on the plate
I know it will feel weird but when the mallards come down in big numbers, hunt inside the corn. My buddies and I used to hunt up there, the open water is tempting but the birds finished better when hunting inside the corn.
Flooded corn that sounds like it should be perfectly legal we go under the jail hunting over corn but the Yankees can just flood the friggin corn field and all is well!
Flooded corn man, makes for great hunts but man it should be considered baiting. That's one on the main reason birds are holding north and we are seeing less and less down here.
@@OutdoorLimits Just makes hunting down here in Louisiana that much harder, between leases being 10 to 20k a year and almost all public land requiring a boat to get to or a mile trek through marsh, its rough. And we don't have the luxury of asking permission to hunt land, you'd get laughed off the property. Its hard seeing something I love to do so much become a industry instead of a passion, a money farm. Then guided hunts are not any better, 15 people in a blind 200 a pop no idea whos shooting what, its rough out here.
@@OutdoorLimitshey man I'm coming out to KC from Utah over the holiday. Love to link up for a hunt if you're interested. I'd love to take you in Utah too
Corn is not the reason man. What corn do you know of that is still around or not rotten by November/December? You're just hunting stalks by then that used to have corn. It has to get really cold and stay cold. And you have to keep pressure off them. Which is hard to do in those flyways.
It might bother some people but I absolutely love Kora's enthusiasm. Very enjoyable video.
Cora is really coming along, awesome dog!
Enjoyed watching this hunt Josh. Kora is doing great. Might not have been a banger but, nice mixed bag. Cant wait to see what's next.

Love the refuge runner hunts! Keep them coming josh!
VERY NICE!! my gosh those LOOK like LONG SHOTS!! some fabulous shooting.
Painters poles are cheap and easy to use for spinners. Nice seeing u slum it on missouri side. Tough weather. Birds are stale.

Good to know! Thanks for the tips
Hey man, if you ever want to get at some stud spoonies. You can come out to Cali and I’ll help you get some really quality mounters.
Agreed, we get some good looking spoonies in Cali.
Was just gunna say this you can shoot 7 stud bootlips literally every time you hunt if thats what you wanted to do
Dudeee let me come. U can come hunt with me in my flooded timber spots for woodies and mixed bags
I’m in Southeastern NC wrightsville beach
Pretty good little hunt 👍🦆
Awesome watching your channel. I have two labs I've been training so it's awesome to watch Kora along the way.
Excellent hunt!! Love flooded corn, do this again.
Talk about a mixed bag!
Crazy you got a woodie in a corn field. They are always near cypress trees where I live.

Always a tough call on the early Teal!! Cora is looking great!!
Thanks!
Good day for early November !
Amazing dog work!
Thank you very much!
Looks like a great time

The dog is a watcher

what type of headlamp do you have and do you like it?

My favorite hunts, flooded corn or rice.
I know it will feel weird but when the mallards come down in big numbers, hunt inside the corn. My buddies and I used to hunt up there, the open water is tempting but the birds finished better when hunting inside the corn.
Like put the decoys in the standing corn?
What choke is that you’re shooting?
Nice footage showing you throw out the decoys. What kind of waders are you using? I'm in the market for some.
What choke are you running on your shotgun?
Nice job!1111🙌🏻 where in Missouri?
What happened to the m2?
Left shoots left side and right shoots right. Take turns on singles.
How far from the ramp are you comfortable hunting with the layouts?
I’ll go anywhere as long as it’s not choppy water
Did you train Cora yourself? She's doing awesome.
What’s the secret for getting Kora to that level? Amazing work!!
Cornerstone gundog academy and time!
Do you shoot them Migra mixed shells or the Remington ones?
Awesome hunt that shoveler is beautiful I’m yet to shoot a drake yet
What's with all the pellets falling short when you swatted the spoony and mallard? Never seen that before.
I saw that. I'm guessing its powder
Well you definitely shot better this time lol, wish I could join you but lm in Essex England 👍🙄
What happend to your sight rail? Looks like it has a big dent in it.
First comment👊🏻
That green light on your layout, is that something you have installed or is it just a lamp?
I installed it. Just an led light strip i siliconed under the lip
Nothing to complain about bro
You stop using weatherby?

Rasgele kazasiz belasız bir sezon olsun inşallah
Comes and films hunts in Missouri gets out and complains saying “it’s not as easy as I anticipated” 😂😂😂😂
Never said it was easy. Conditions are just tough.
Everybody thinks that if they dip their toe in a flooded corn field they’ll kill a limit of mallards😂
@@Ariv98no ducks in Mo keep the filming in KS 🤷🏽♂️
@@joshposley watch out he’s doing to start deleting your comments!!
Did he used to have a dipping channel and if so what is the name of it me and my buddies caint rember it for nothing

I'm not a huge fan of it personally. Give me millet and smart weed and I'm a happy man.

They would still land in the cut corn fields whether there's water or not
