I love Piya. I'm really glad we've heard a lot from her lately.

Here in Baltimore fries with gravy is an old favorite. Yes, we eat things other than crabs. Poutine looks like a great variation.

is it just me or does he kinda remind you of the long Philip Seymour Hoffman.

I remember on Conan's old Late Night show, Jim and Philip were on the same episode together and he made the same joke. lol

Come on Piya, Poutine was made in Quebec. It really should be pronounced with the french pronunciation, not the anglicized version.

I didn't mind the pronunciation, more the part where she told him not to say it the french way, or at least the other way he pronounced it, 'because it means something else in french'...which it doesn't.

I know from experience that Quebecois folks have very attuned ears and no patience with me mangling words en francais. And so most likely they would hear me saying "putain" badly - therefore yes, phonetically it could be heard as meaning something different.

What's with all these haters? Piya is amazing. She's amazingly talented!

I like Piya too but I still think Sook-Yin Lee would be a better fit for Q. She's more hip and there's something about her voice that would bring back that laid back, cool vibe back in the studio. Or, what about Stu Jeffries? He's got uber experience with interviewing famous and influential people with an awesome sense of humour and wit.

Jim, is it possible you have a sugar addiction? Watch the documentary Fed Up (2014) if you are unsure. Your liver treats all forms of sugar the same, including all carbohydrates, fruit juices, and sugar-substitutes, so yeah store this as fat. You're welcome.

Poutine is nasty shit. You put gravy on mashed potatoes not fries, unless you like soggy, wet fries. Cheese curds are best enjoyed by themselves as well. Canada's only true saving grace is The Kids In The Hall.

This was the lousiest interview ever of Gaffigan and it's because CBC interviewers do not know how to give an interview other than a politically correct interview.
