I know people make fun of these reaction to a reaction video. But for someone who doesn't have a huge amount of knowledge in sc2 since I mainly only watch; having a caster explain what reynor is saying more in depth is great.
It's funny you say that. I normally can't stand these types of videos, but to me, PiG is layering INFORMATION on top of information, so it's actually .... you guessed it, informative, whereas a lot of these vids are just "hey look at my reactions because I think so much of myself" and they're sooooo shit.

I remember watching day9's videos back in early WoL period, and remember him telling people wanting to learn to watch and study the games where a pro completely dismantles an opponent, rather than just hard fought back and forth games. Those games can be v instructive.
I actually remembered that Serral vs herO game pretty well, for the same reason it was featured in this video. He walked over herO and it didn't look remotely close. Serral made it look easy.
Its because Serral is impeccable with his scouting and herO used that timing build several times before, and Serral heavy countered it. PvZ become a Zerg-favored matchup as long as the Zerg know what the build is and when its coming for the right reaction, with the except of the ultra lategame of Skytoss.
IMHO Reynor is the GOAT SC2 player. He is arguably the best Zerg, but no one can play all three races like that. He is also fun to watch.
They should train the sc2 ai on Seral. He is the perfect model

I think Probe made a great contribution to the SC goat discussion with his video "The TRUTH about the SC2 GOAT". Check it out if you haven't, Pig and viewers! ^-^
Probe simply making up his own grade/scale and give Serral the crown because of that. I think some of it was questionable and not telling the whole picture.

the scence is still going, for at least another year, so I think PiG hasnt decided on who the GOAT yet, but his short list, iirc, are similar to most, Serral Rogue Maru Dark and possibly Reynor.
All jokes aside, does Maru's loss to Olivera solidify Serral as the official GOAT
indirectly, but Serrals 75% win rate vs Maru in their match ups says it more.

For everyone calling this a reaction video or a reaction of a reaction video, it's not really. It's an analysis video, or an analysis of an analysis video. This happens all the time, even in academia, there are papers written about papers written about papers, each one that takes the thoughts or findings deeper or from a different angle. Reaction videos are mind numbingly dumb and purely for entertainment, whereas these videos make you think a bit.
So PiG, do yourself and favour and change the title to "PiG analyses" 😂

Serral is the greatest of all time. He can do what Maru can do but with the zerg which is like 3 times the moving parts and requires all casters late game. He can pull apart late game sky toss with strait micro. Maru has great micro but its easier to trade well with terran. If Serral got good at terran he would probably be the best terran as well.
yet he cant even win his own mirror matchup consistently, which is becoming tragic at this point.
