Welcome to San Diego Charlie Bo! Came to San Diego in 1980, family still in Detroit though. I've lived all over the country, and without question San Diego is the best place to live.
A shocking percentage of our homeless are from out of state, between the weather and the city/state programs offered to the homeless population, they migrate here. Specifically downtown.
@@OptimusPrinceps_AugustusIt's the whole state of Cali , it can't be stopped . reminds me of stranger things with that creature infecting a lot of peeps😮 . you can move into a gated community with security guards at the entrance or just move to a place with lower numbers
Both of my sisters moved out to SD and it is by FAR the most expensive place to live. Shit hole crack houses sell for over a million. It’s nice there for sure but GTFO with these prices. I have no problem with CLE baby!
@maximusandr Uhh...I was born and raised here. This is the epicenter of vagrants. The stretch the camera person drove gets more dangerous near dark. I worked downtown for 25 yrs. It is everywhere and even into the residential areas
Should've turned right on Isla Vista Drive off of Euclid. Beautiful Spanish style homes that have deemed as historical!! It was wonderful in the 70s and still is. The raunchy apartments on Home ave ruined 92105. Our downtown east village sucks. But the rest of harbor drive is awesome
@@FullyAutomaticAddict410 but why all sudden so many Americans use drug be addict homeless mental ill bum in last few years probably right after Covid time, government cut budget for rehab law enforcement homeless shelter or housing for homeless n mental ill? San Diego does a better job at managing its homeless than SF and LA. But it still exists here. Especially in the East End. A blemish on an otherwise beautiful city.
San Diego is a nice place. You can focus on the worst neighborhoods and make anyplace look bad. And LA is not as bad as this channel makes it out to be either. If you go driving around looking for the worst places in each city what do you expect?
I live in North County, it's super nice. South County and East of the city is awful. This is no way represents all of SD like LA is. Go to La Jolla, Carlsbad, Solana Beach. Sad though because downtown is gorgeous but bad policies are ruining it.
Attended Boot Camp in !982 lived in San Diego County for 40 yrs . Opinion Two main factors contributed to the massive increase in Homelessness. Democrat policies to hand out Free taxpayers money to mostly Drug Addicts and Alcoholics and religious charities making the same mistake. Examples. It depends on what list, or year you look. Different lists consider different factors. It's in the top 10 on most, and #1 on this one www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2023/10/27/report-ranks-san-diego-most-expensive-us-city-see-full-list/71351851007/
Also live here in SD - The homeless area on the SouthEast part of downtown has always been a bit of a no mans land - no one ever goes there for any reason - maybe some muffler shops. The city does a pretty good job of keeping them THERE! That is the entire point - keep them out of sight and out of mind. Occasionally a few show up with "need food" signs by the airport, but the Harbor Police get ride of them. Keep em moving is the name of the game.
Depends on which part of southeast. I have family in northern Encanto and every time homeless tried moving into the open fields, they got beat down and chased off.
Australian cities have no rubbish or tents set up on the streets, I have a luxurious house from government housing, why doesn't America have it, you're supposed to be a rich country too
We dump all our money into our military. We also have a huge amount of illegal immigrants that consider this a luxury compared to where they’re from. Drugs are also a big factor for homelessness. Land of the free… yeehaw
It’s not the most expensive city to live. Most of the areas of the city are nice. You are showing bad downtown pockets. SD is the most beautiful city in USA.

How did I miss this! SD local here, love your channel, pictures don't lie, let the rest of the World know what it's really like.
This is my city and I love it here for the most part. I don't live anywhere near these areas though and I'm good with that.

Dam, I would have thought San Fran was the most expensive in Cali
East village is basically San Diego's skid row at this point lol
Not sure about the current state but when I went to San Diego back in 2021 the downtown area was way cleaner than the Denver downtown that I'm used to
i went last may it's really only the East Village that looks like this, not main tourist areas.
Not now
I was in Denver a week ago it had less hobos than San Diego I’m assuming because of the time of year

Maybe the best American graffitti I've ever seen. You could take any one of those panels and put them in a big gallery and I'd go see it.
I was checking that out too! Lol. Those were some nice pieces
All the Graffiti on the wall was beautiful and amazing starting 5:19 and more wuz Mint
San Diego is a tale of two extremes - extreme wealth meets extreme poverty.
Thank you for your consistency
San Diego ain't all palm trees and blond bombshells
and craft Beer bros...
Lol, look at that. You found the bad side of town. Most cities have one ya know. Looks like telephone road in Houston.
America's finest city baby!
Was thinking of moving there….what tent do they suggest I purchase and where do I get the best deal…Walmart?

Dystopia can be beautiful
What's that place in Imperial County? I think it's called Slab City. Move all the tent city dwellers there...
Im speechless........where did the professional crowd disappear to?
These are the worst areas.
Texas and Florida
Them the streets out there the real concert jungle
I have lived in San Diego before 1980 -1986 that was nice now is nasty.
I'm still in Ocean Beach
Pre crack era

How come you're not more famous?!
Maybe because he never show his face
He's a Republican
Famous for what? Be specific.
It’s a bot, ignore it
I'm in OB
Beautiful.
This look like Mexico
I believe New York and San Francisco are more expensive than San Diego.
If it weren't for the internet we wouldn't believe this 💩.
What? All it takes is going outside to see and believe this lol

I love San Diego with my hometown born and raised but it has got very very expensive that is a fact

The most expensive city is not San Francisco and second new York?😮
To rent, SD routinely comes in highest.
Looks like a great spot to settle down with my expensive stuff
You and your pretend jewelry store. Even a blind woman sees how phoney you and your costume jewelry are. Go back to Gila Bend, Arizona.
Wrong: New York City is by far the most expensive place to live in the country, if not the world!
я думал самый дорогой Нью-Йорк.
I can't believe is more expensive than San Fran
These are the worst areas.
I would say Honolulu even more expensive
or San Francisco...
San Diego ain't been relevant since Anchorman 2 🤣
Anchorman 2 wasn’t even relevant 😂
You repeating yourself in every video is relevant as a bucket of pus.
Not relevant to your broke ass 😂
Jurassic Park 2
Bought my property in 2003 and it's doubled in price. Wouldn't live anywhere else except Maui😅
I use to live here in dt san diego... dont miss it one bit. so expensive with many eye sores ..city dont care
Should have seen those meadowbrook apartments in the 90s. Worst time be there.
0:55 personification of east village
was bin ich froh in Europa zu leben. Mir tut das elend in den USA Leid
Kalifornia uber alles! 🏖️🌴
We're not OK.
Hoods in San Diego?
Yes, these are some of the rundown "hoods".
In the Southeast there’s lot of gangs etc. was a lot worse in the 90s tho.
Still 99% of it is a beautiful and safe city.
99% is a lie! You are fake news. More like 72%
Absolute dump
20% is a dump... war zones... Colina, City Heights, Encanto, even into Rolando, are dumps now.

Hi, I hope I can come there after I said everyone was dumb (lol)

Totally UNRECOGNIZABLE.....
He's in some of the worst parts. The majority of SD is clean....been here almost 7 yrs.
San Diego isn't even the most expensive city in its State

There are no such number of beggars and homeless people in Russia.
looks pretty cheapr for them
Anybody calling Gavin Newsome?
I call that utterly incompetent and worthless Kommissar Governor Gruesome's office all the time, and the calls go to voicemail
St John 3:16! ❤

He didn’t in his first 4 years
