I actually didnt know how you unlock super sonic, or even that he was in the game, i just assumed, hmm i have 3 characters missing, lets do the missions, after i got the extreme rank on every single one i thought, k, last 2 characters.... and then there was supersonic, and he sucked...

For anyone wondering how you can do more than one X rank trick in a row, I figured it out.
You hold a different direction on the D-pad + 2 every time you do a different trick, so Up + 2 for one, Left + 2 for the second, Right + 2 for the third, etc. Then you repeat the process. You also need to jump right at the very last second of a ramp and also be 160 speed or above, I believe.

I don't remember the characters ever saying anything when they fell to their death or used Gravity Control... Maybe it's because I played this on PS2. Must be something exclusive to the Wii.

lol for alot of the ring missions i would miss rings and be only less than 5 rings away from getting extremes half the time

I can do it to its really easy
It's based on the directions of the trick. The game keeps track of the last 3 directional inputs you made, so repeating one of the last 3 means you won't get as many X ranks.

In that 2nd megalo station mission, I cheat the system by walking back to collect the rings from the bottom area before really beginning.
