the ending is just perfect we usually want a ending with a happy ending in which all becomes good and main character increased the amount of love in the hearts of people but acutally in real life history repeats itself. Actually i don't know the chapter but there is some person in aot who said humans will always engage in war there is only way to stop war if only one person remain alive.
The real problem is with eren himself bro had so much of bulid up for himself and ended disappointing us like bro didn't believed in his own freedom and admitted that his act was foolish like wtf bro my respect for armin has increased after this 😂

What i think a lot of people missed are the fact that the founder ymir was waiting for mikasa to break her from her past. From my point of view mikasa situation is quiet similar to founder ymir where she need to kill her love one for the greater good. Ymir however refuse to kill king fritz because she love him so much (kinda fuck up honestly) Regretting her choice, ymir create the Path solely to find someone who understands her situation and would kill their loved one and that person is mikasa. Seeing mikasa can do what she couldn't do before finally put ymir to rest and end the titan cycle since ymir doesn't need to seek the connection anymore so eren choice is not pointless as it seems. Also Ymir peeked into mikasa's memory and gave her memories showing what could've happened if she had said she loved him and there's a chancé that this Memory was possible if the humanity was gone, both eren and Mikasa could've ran awav together and lived a happy lfe in mountains. But unlike ymir, Mikasa decided to kill eren even though she loved him but she wasn't bounded by love. The kisss signified that she loved him until the end hut had to do what was necessary and despite her personal feelings. Mikasa did what ymir couldn't do for 2000 years
