It's always important to have a pocket knife but it's even more important to always close or sheath your knife if it's not in your hand. Love the video. I bought 2 of these and I'm waiting for them to get here
@@davesbackyardchickensandou3905 I think you mentioned it. You used ethanol free gas and the recommended amount of Stabil for a gallon of gas. (Common sense things that escapes me with mowers, blowers, edgers, etc. this time of year) My favorite to ruin over my 30 year home owner career are chainsaws. Would you recommend lubricating the cylinder with a few drops of oil taking the spark plug out? And then run it for an hour and changing out the oil? (I can’t believe I’ve become my father with thoughts like these...)
If you turn the knob to almost off position but dont let it turn off and let it run a couple minutes it shuts off. It's a fuel cut off to run the fuel out of the carb when not in use. I made a video on my channel about it and show it.
@@bandapuertodeoro8543 Dave, did you ever confirm this? Friend just bought one and I have a 3500 and this is a fantastic idea to run the line and bowl dry between use even when short duration. Ive already had to rod my idle jet for surging and it was no more than 30 days. The gas in HTX is garbage even with StaBil
Nice video!! Did you get the warranty on it...I did...because if anything happens to it at all..they will just swap it out...there is harbor freight everywhere!!
Is there a reason WHY the oil filler neck is covered up with the cover ? Especially since it needs to be checked before each use....Why not just use a hole saw and cut a round opening exposing that area to provide easy access ?
If I have gasoline powered equipment which I don't plan on using for several months I would drain the fuel out of the carb and tank into a storage can. I don't trust the eco fuel additives. It may cause damage to seals and gaskets when not in use. Still would add the fuel stabilizer to storage cans of fuel.
I run all my equipment dry. I just use the fuel additive just in case there is a tiny bit left in the hoses. But the generator will get used every month.
@@davesbackyardchickensandou3905 I know people who learned the hard way about leaving fuel in the lines, carb and tank in ATVs, generators, and riding lawn mowers over the winter. Even with the fuel stabilizer added. Some places here sell non-ethanol fuel for that very reason.

AMAZON/CHINESE JUNK Junk. My 3rd replacement. Now it's screeching with switch issues. Can't seem to push out the fumes (all 3) well enough. Weak exhaust makes surrounding area fill with fumes. Eco mode? Fumes are awful. That's why RUclips has vids on how to extend the exhaust on these things. Never listen to anyone. Harbor Freight has a 20% restock fee. The Gen was $525. Do the math. Should have, and will, get the Champion 🇺🇸 at a Tractor Supply store. 😡

They are very nice. And it still starts up really easy. And with the knife, I guess if you're prone to cutting yourself.
Just bought one today. Never owned a generator. Used them, never had to set one up. This is what I needed to see. Thanks!
Thanks for watching

Good question, not sure why they designed it that way.
Do you have a interstate or racetrack in your backyard ?
Highway behind the trees. Some of it is recorded at one of my friend's house. Thanks for watching and be safe.
How many gallons did you register in the genorater?
It holds 1 gallon. So far i have filled it 4 times.
How many ounces of oil did you put
it says 13 oz. I didnt measure just filled to the line.
Hello, how much stabilizer do you add per gallon?
1 oz per 2.5 gallons of fuel. Thanks
@@davesbackyardchickensandou3905 also, how much gallons did you put
Is smoke supposed to be coming from the rear?
Yes, it's new. So all metal parts have oil on them which will burn off.
@@davesbackyardchickensandou3905 ok I believe my brother put to much oil in cause it's really smoking . I think he said it said overload?

He left it on choke too long. The second the light turns green you need to turn the knob to run.If you notice the smoke stopped when he did that.
