Rocky Mountain National Park

The Rocky Mountain National Park, located near Estes Park, Colorado, about sixty miles Northwest of Denver, is one of the most beautiful and most visited National Parks in the country. It’s stunning Alpine Mountain vistas; it’s streams and lakes; hundreds of miles of hiking trails; and abundant wildlife make it one of the most photographed in the National Park system. It has become so popular that it was necessary to impose a timed-entry permit system during the peak season beginning on May 27 though October 10. Permits are necessary between the hours of nine-AM and three-PM in order to spread the visitor load thorough out the day. The permits are in addition to the admission fee charged to enter the park.
